Who is the Perfect Boldly Client?
The clientele of Boldly is generally more business-focused, although support is offered to individuals that need an ongoing assistant or need support for a ‘more involved’ project.
For example, the company often works with people who are relocating to another country and need support with research and making complex arrangements in another language.

“To help others amazingly” – is the motto of my company. Not a large company, just me. So 4 months ago it (finally) became clear I needed to delegate a lot of my administrative tasks. I had two failed hires of a traditional EA over the years and one reason it didn’t work was I don’t really need someone full time. I’ve been working with Andrea from Worldwide 101 for several months now and it’s working very well. Andrea does about 2 hours per day for me. I no longer do any scheduling and I’m no longer first responder on my emails. We have a 30 minute Skype call three or four times per week and go through the (minority) of my emails only I can deal with. Occasionally I throw Andrea a challenge such as ‘Please figure out how to get me to Malaga for a day and a half whereby I can have dinner with my (retired) parents, nine holes of golf with my dad the next morning and a quick lunch before the flight back to London – all for under £200.’ Things are happening that weren’t before because I wouldn’t get round to scheduling them. I have fuller and more productive weeks. Worldwide101 is a tight ship. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to other busy entrepreneurs.

About a year ago, I wanted to grow my consulting business and add some additional services that required the need for a skilled marketing assistant. I had struggled mightily in the past to hire the right people for my company and was about to give up hiring anyone new until I came across Worldwide101. They had a very flexible pricing model and numerous highly skilled assistants to choose from. After hiring Nicole and Shari from Worldwide101, I can say that without a doubt, it was one of the best decisions I have made and has allowed us to continue to grow. Whether you are a small to medium sized business that needs to get some stuff off your plate, or a growing agency that needs to build a great team around you, I would highly recommend Worldwide101 for your virtual assistant needs.
Worldwide101 is hands-down the best VA service out there! I have now had 2 VAs with them, Anne-Lyse and Jennifer.
I have a very particular set of needs for a VA- I need someone who is bilingual in French and English and familiar with both my home countries, the US and France. Worldwide101 is the only service able to help me in that regard, true to the name, worldwide.
While this kind of highly-qualified service might otherwise mean a high price and/or high minimum number of hours, with Worldwide101 I am able to be on the lowest-tier, most affordable plan option that suits me as a young millennial with a limited budget (but having a VA has proven so valuable that I plan on upgrading as soon as possible!).
Worldwide101 is also, in my experience, the only company that provides TRUE customer service with their VAs (I have tried TaskRabbit, FancyHands, etc). Where other services might do the bare minimum, Worldwide101 goes above and beyond. I had no idea how to onboard an assistant since my prior VA’s had just been for one-off quick tasks. Anne-Lyse went to great lengths to learn my workflows and style so that she could be most helpful. She was quick to understand, and had lots of good ideas and an excellent response time. Emma, my account manager, checks in regularly to make sure everything is going smoothly. Sandra, the company founder, and I keep regular communication also, and everyone is so kind. Any kind of confusion in communication is quickly resolved with a smile.
Worldwide 101 is a great option if you have the money to pay for the $40/hour dedicated assistant. Otherwise, it may not be the best option for a “solopreneur” or small company who is bootstrapping or just starting out.
It will take you time to figure out the assistant’s strengths, for ex., my assistant’s turned out to be more design-related, rather than tech-or writing-related; also it’s in your best interest to set firm project milestones, deadlines and communication expectations.
As far as communication with assistant goes, my advice is to stick to one method (Asana or Slack or Email or messaging) rather than introduce all sorts of bells and whistles which then makes an admin and ‘catching-up’ nightmare.
While the management team is fantastic and very responsive and supportive, I did have some communication and turnaround time issues with my assistant (I was the on the 10-hour monthly plan). I felt the ball had been dropped on several occasions, or that projects were rushed at the last minute for completion before deadline.
UPDATE January 2016:
While I appreciate the many stellar reviews of Worldwide 101, I experienced inconsistencies, mostly around communication and turnaround times.
In the beginning, the assistant definitely helped me get organized and introduced me to project organization tools like Asana.
She also had a decent eye for design, and used services like Canva for social media posting. She was less familiar with Photoshop or CMS platforms like Squarespace or WordPress, for which I had to train her on my time.
But most disconcerting was that as she got more comfortable in the role, she started slipping on deadlines. Posts that were supposed to be lined up at the beginning of the week fell to Tuesdays, and then Wednesdays; I began feeling a sense of laziness or being “too busy” on her part for my service (I had the 10 hour plan. Perhaps WW101 should monitor this–if a VA has a bigger commitment and no time for smaller clients then they should re-assign).
I constantly felt like I was chasing my assistant for responses or follow-up for certain tasks. I shouldn’t have to do paying $400/month, and as a solopreneur at that.
Finally the straw that broke everything was when the assistant just plain lied about getting back to me in response to—what else—but my request for status about a task.
She claimed she replied days earlier, and even conjured up an email out of thin air; by then I’d had enough and cut her off my org.’s email, only to verify and discover no such message in her “sent” log; it was completely fabricated. I brought this up with Sandra (the owner) who was “baffled.” Guess what, Sandra, don’t be baffled; not everyone you hire is 100% honest about their dedication or work quality. Won’t use them again.
Worldwide101 is a fantastic and well-run organization. I had two virtual assistants through them – Ellen and Tracy. Both were fantastic – experienced, easy to work with, great attitudes and very helpful. Worldwide101 really knows how to select the right assistants and trains them properly so that they are ready to help you. I’ve found the plans quite flexible and the assistants do their best to make sure you use up all the time you have in the month. Sandra and the operations folks are always reaching out to make sure you are happy with the services.
I would not hesitate to go to Worldwide101 again for another request or for ongoing help on something. If you are looking for a virtual assistant, definitely give them a try – you will not be disappointed.

I’ve been employing the services of worldwide 101 for several months now and they make my crazy workload actually manageable..
While I tend to do all of my customer service myself (as I am a control freak) on the occasions that they have stepped in to assist customers (they mostly do admin work for me) I have found the manner and upbeat attitude of the staff to be at least as good as I can do..! Kind of scary, they might make me obsolete so I can concentrate on the really important things for my site rather than the day to day grind..
