Prialto provides remote administrative assistants to executives, entrepreneurs, and businesses. Our virtual executive assistant services are curated and managed from our headquarters in Portland, Oregon, with creative insights from our global staff in Asia and Central America.

Prialto calls itself the “virtual support service for executives,” and touts that their dedicated Prialto Assistants (PAs) and team “will actually pull your business forward.”

Founder, Eric Taussig, says that he’s a bit uncomfortable with calling Prialto assistants “virtual.”

“Virtual means ‘not real’ and suggests work that can be ‘algorithmically’ driven by software. Our people are quite real and personable,” he explains. “We provide a valuable management layer alongside them and equip them with technology so that they can focus on the more strategic, value-add aspects of assistant work.”

While most virtual assistant companies match you with an individual assistant working out of their home or within a corner of a large call-center, Prialto provides a team-approach with assistants working in their managed offices supported by US-based “engagement managers” who serve as a coaches to constantly optimize your service.

Regardless of the physical location of your assistant, they will be made available during your local business hours. The service is aimed at high-performing sales professionals and executives at start-ups and smaller entrepreneurial clients, as well as enterprise accounts.

How it Works

Getting Started: Prialto’s team leverages best practices culled from a half million hours of support experience across clients to develop and train your assistant, whereas clients of other VA companies may need to be much more involved in training their assistant.

Security: Prialto’s team works in secure offices on its own IT system with complete security processes in place, while other virtual assistants might work out of their home on their own computers.

Proactive Approach: Prialto’s team is focused on offloading processes to improve your productivity and being proactive on your behalf, leveraging admin to strategically pull your workflow forward, while other companies may be focused on completing low-level tasks that you define and send to your assistant.

Real-Time and Phone Support: Prialto’s team is on-call throughout your service hours and provides you a phone number you can call for direct access to your assistant. If your assistant isn’t available, one of their team is backing them up.

Prialto PAs often make and field calls on your behalf via a local phone number that Prialto requisitions on your behalf.

Scalability: Because Prialto works as a team, documents all your processes, and is focused on constant process improvement, they say that they can quickly scale with your organization. In home-based models, each new executive may require a new assistant which works separately rather than as a team. Prialto assistants work side-by-side so that they can share knowledge and learn on your behalf.

Backup and Continuity: Prialto’s team-based approach means that at any time 4-5 other teammates across its three offices know your processes, which are documented in the Prialto system. Prialto says that this minimizes your downtime if an assistant is out on vacation, sick or leaves the company. If you hire directly, through Upwork or another home-based platform, you may be left on the hook to replace your assistant and re-train a new person from scratch.

Plans and Pricing

Pricing starts at $1200 per month, and includes up to 50 hours of dedicated support, plus backup assistance when your VA is unavailable.

Prialto boasts that all these support features are available at a price in line with other US-based assistant services, but it also admits that they require a higher commitment from its customers to achieve this.

Andy Mowat, Prialto co-founder and former Elance.com executive, explains that “Prialto provides all this enterprise-grade support at rates that are similar to companies like Zirtual and that are far less than what you might pay a lower-level admin to sit in your office in Los Angeles, New York, or San Francisco.”

He adds that to get the most out the service, it’s best if clients have “a minimum of 12 hours a week of need. That’s the only way we can marshal the resources to consistently provide the high-level of support around which we are building our brand.”

Prialto Alternatives

The challenge in finding a viable alternative to Prialto is that not many competitors have this level of specialization and infrastructure. With companies like Zirtual, Uassist.ME, or even other firms in the Philippines, you might one day achieve the level of integration and sales support Prialto promises, but I imagine it will take some time investment in training.

    Prialto was my first experience working with a VPA. The on-boarding process was clear and professional and resulted in a seamless integration. At first I felt overwhelmed my schedule filled up so quickly. It was amazing to see how many simple tasks I was performing myself that could be handled by a VPA. Prialto’s team approach meant that I only had to teach a specific skill once. After that it didn’t matter whether my VPA was in or not, the team knew what to do. The only limit to how Prialto can help your business is the limit you set. The team lets you know your utilization and the VPA actively picks up on tasks they can handle.     I’ve been working with Prialto for about a year. And, I have to admit, I was skeptical with their staff living half way around the world. But not only has it worked out flawlessly, I love adding to the diversity of my team. First off, the transition was so smooth. Prialto takes on a team approach and started working with me a few weeks in advance to learn about the programs I use and to get their staff logged in to all of my systems. They didn’t start charging me until their team was up and running and able to fully support me (this is rare!). Michael provides administrative support including managing my CRM.     My role has changed significantly recently – and my support requirements have increased dramatically. Not only has Prialto stepped up and delivered flawlessly, but it has required zero training/back and forth etc. Jenny instinctively knows what needs to be done and does it with exactly the right pitch and nuance.     People ask me all the time, “How do you do it? How do you keep track of so much?” That is when I explain Prialto. I work with one person everyday who helps me blend professional and personal tasks to allow me to focus on what I do best (I’m still trying to figure that out.) I continue to add new process each time my assistant masters a previous task. I have never been left without help due to a great backup program. I recommend it for all executives who want to get more free time in their life. It also makes for a happier marriage since my assistant helps me with a lot of “honey-do” items that I used to forget.

    Why?

    – Engagement manager model – very helpful to have an EM knowledgeable enough to help map out our workflows

    – VA’s and EMs take verbal feedback – like guidance on exact types of prospects to find – and are able to integrate that into work product right away. They pay attention – which helps establish a level of trust quickly.

    Prialto is my (not so secret) secret weapon.
    The PAs and EMs are on point. Professionalism is table stakes in this business. Prialto recruits and trains their people to go way above and beyond. My PA takes initiative daily helping me perform at the top of my game with my clients and prospects.
    The whole system is set up for maximizing efficiency and minimizing service interruptions with personal assistants and engagement managers working in teams to provide secondary backup in case my main assistant is out of the office.

    – Lead research (I gave them a list of 300 companies and the titles of the people we sell to, she researches to find emails and contact info and maintains the data in our CRM tool).
    – Outbound email campaigns (Each week she targets X new companies, and follows up with companies that have previously been contacted but haven’t yet responded).
    – Calendar management (Any time I need help scheduling a call, I copy her on the email and she works behind the scene to set it up).

    Overall i can’t be more pleased. My PA is on top of everything, makes me look good every day. What’s better than that?!

    My Prialto Assistant and team acts as fully loaded sales assistant at a fraction of the cost. They have helped our sales organization at EliteSEM achieve an opportunity pipeline which is 100% updated. This gives me visibility into the current health of our pipeline and also lets me dive deeper into things like which channels and product divisions are performing the best.

    Getting started with Prialto was straightforward and they helped drive most of the setup. Prialto’s Engagement Manager optimized our instance of Salesforce to fit our business and helped us carefully migrate our sales teams existing data. One of the best parts of working with Prialto is that my Prialto Assistant Sherby does a great job to proactively interface with my sales team to make sure all sales activities have been logged for accurate reporting. She lets me focus on higher value tasks while only circling me in on the action items which need my attention.

    I feel comfortable they are handling our work securely from their managed offices. Even if my primary assistant is out for the day, they have trained backups who are able to keep our work moving forward.

    As a virtual assistant company, Prialto emphasizes being both available and consistent.

    Their Engagement Managers (EMs) are accessible during any range of office hours, regardless of where your business is located. This global level of availability demands a high sense of dedication from Prialto’s team. I had an up-to-date team of EMs and Productivity Assistants (PAs) to take the place of anyone who was sick or on vacation. This level of backup support ensured strong continuity, and I was secure that every person working with me was on the same page. If there were any issues, there was an efficient response to the problem.

    The elevated level of professionalism and capability of the EMs and PAs eased me into a beneficial partnership with them, and I saw a proactive increase in company workflow as a result. Prialto allowed our company, PerformLine, to more easily gauge all the services that our customers rely on, a once time-consuming task. They provided us with more than just a backup labor force – the EMs worked with us directly to create a more streamlined approach to reviewing and flagging potential marketing violations.

    While Prialto focused on the administrative processes, I was able to focus on my business in a more productive manner. Overall, my experience with Prialto’s dedicated team was a positive one.
