About Work Better Now
The company was started around 3 years ago by co-founders Andrew Cohen and Robert Levin.
Andrew has a lot of experience working as a consultant with small businesses, start-ups, and entrepreneurs. Robert is also the CEO and Editor-in-Chief of RSL Media, a company that helps businesses nurture and convert other businesses.
Together, they decided to start Work Better Now to help busy business owners outsource low-priority tasks at a cost-effective price.
Work Better Now only offers full-time, dedicated virtual assistants. You can choose to split your assistant’s time with other businesses, but there are no part-time or hourly contracts.
Work Better Now told me they have an intricate process behind finding and onboarding the right VAs for each client. They work with a variety of businesses, ranging from solopreneurs to marketing agencies, law firms, and real estate businesses.
Whatever industry you’re in and whatever skills you require from a Virtual Assistant, Work Better Now will find the ideal candidate for you.
How Work Better Now Works
If you’re interested in working with Work Better Now, it starts by making contact and booking a 15-minute consultation call.
During this call, a member of their team will identify what your requirements are in a Virtual Assistant, how your business operates, etc.
Work Better Now will then find the best-suited Virtual Assistant to meet your needs. From there, you can interview the Virtual Assistant yourself and decide if you want to move forward and start working together.
Work Better Now Services
Work Better Now’s assistants will take just about any day-to-day business tasks off your hands that can be completed remotely.
To give you a better idea, they group their core services into the following categories on their site:
- Calendar Management – General Personal Assistant tasks, such as confirming appointments, scheduling calls, providing reminders, etc.
- Travel – Researching flight details, booking travel arrangements, coordinating meetings, etc.
- Business Development – Carrying out research on LinkedIn, making contact with other business owners, building prospect lists, etc.
- Management – Generating reports, invoicing, running personal errands, customer support, etc.
- Operations – Converting files, conducting research, file management, writing up procedures, etc.
Work Better Now Plans and Pricing
Work Better Now has a simple pricing structure. They supply full-time virtual assistants for $1,750 per month. There are no hourly rates and no part-time plans.
Based on a 4-week month, this works out at just under $11/hr. This is a competitive rate, but it’s in the ballpark of what you would expect to pay for an assistant based in South America.
Their assistants are able to work to normal business hours for Continental US. They work 8 hours a day over a 9 hour period (1 hour for lunch), 5 days a week.
There are no contracts or hidden fees.
Work Better Now Alternatives
A couple of alternative companies supplying virtual assistants based in South America are Virtual Latinos and Uassist.me.
Both companies offer a similar range of services and prices. Virtual Latinos are a little on the less expensive side, with full-time assistants working out at $8/hr. While Uassist.me’s full-time assistants are around $12/hr.
The main difference is that both of these companies are a lot more flexible with their hourly plans. If you don’t have enough work to keep an assistant busy full-time, you can hire assistants from these companies on a part-time basis.

I have been with WBN for 5 months and I can attest to their professionalism and care towards their VA’s. You feel like you joined a big family. They are engaging and approachable and Andrew is very involved. It feels like he’s is very much one of us. We can tell he really cares.
I had 3 interviews before getting a job and I absolutely love working where I am now. I can’t complain about anything, it’s been an amazing experience. The pay is not bad but, personally, an extra 200-300 would make a huge difference, but maybe that’s me as I have children. Most VA’s are very young and the pay would be great for someone with no family commitments. I find myself having to do other work on weekends to complement my salary. But this is just a minor detail. So far WBN has been a big thumbs up.
The pay is good. However this is a very unprofessional company! Our time as prospective VA’s are not valued. You are placed in a VA Pool and you will do numerous interviews with clients, however the lack of communication after each interview is very poor. To date I have not received one email to state whether I was successful or not, which means my time was not valued. Additionally, this is not a secure position, clients can pull out at anytime. Do not leave security for something that is not secured .
I completely agree!
I didn’t understand why I was required to do 4 interviews (but I did them anyway). At the final interview, they indicated that I would be successful since I met the requirements but was never contacted for an official onboarding. Believing that I was going to be successful, I started purchasing equipment in preparation for the role. It was not only disappointing that I lost time and money, but the fact that they didn’t even have the common courtesy to contact me when they said they would.
Truly disappointing
After I did an English assessment, uploaded a video of myself, passed all their interviews, did another hour long assessment, was placed in the VA pool, signed contracts, agreements and employee handbook, have wasted time and money purchasing a new laptop and other equipment just to meet their requirements only to be told that I wont be moving further because I didn’t answer a question properly in training and I wont have known had I not asked. They are backward and they didn’t even have the courtesy to let me know why they were kicking me to the curb, I noticed some hours after a meeting invitation that I was rudely removed from their WhatsApp pool, then sent an email stating that I would not be moving foward without an explanation.
Like how do you make someone sign a contract then tell them about hidden assessments in a training session? The purpose of training comes after the selection process, to TRAIN those that you have ALREADY SELECTED in the manner you want them to carry out whatever duties you require of them. Not to rudely judge someone’s email etiquette based on some answers for a question in training then telling me about how their process is meticulous. It might be meticulous but it lacks structure and order.
TRULY UPSETTING AND DISAPPOINTING.
You all need all the professional help you all can get.
Amazing company to work for with great pay. You can choose your client and you only work for one client at the time. The jobs are fully remote and you can work from the comfort of your own home. The team is very supportive and always there to help and the community of VAs is amazing they are always there to lend a hand. I love it!
I’ve been working at WBN for 18 months now and it is a great place to work at. I feel valued as a person and as a professional, I feel heard and that every time I need to talk to someone about any question I have there is someone there for me.
This has been an amazing experience that I highly recommend to anyone who wishes to work as a virtual assistant.
I had a great experience with WBN. Very kind staff members, good communication, willing to help and answer any of my questions and great leadership from the management team.
Very unprofessional service! I applied to work here, they scheduled an appointment for my interview,I rescheduled for a later day, due to a family emergency ,it was confirmed, then I received an email stating that they are moving forward and they are not doing the interview again. I reached out on several occasions and absolutely NO Response! Not even an explanation as to why they canceled. Unethical! Unprofessional! No decorum! WBN is a no for me!
I’m sorry you had a terrible experience at Work Better Now. Our company’s mission is to provide both the virtual assistant and our clients with amazing service. I’m not sure what happened in your particular instance, but we have a strong culture of creating a seamless onboarding process with more than 250 current virtual assistants.
Please be aware of WBN!!!!
When you are truthful, they will turn around at the last minute and accuse you of lying.
I signed a work contract and with onboarding I was apparently lying to them.
I am a honest person and won’t let anyone accuse me of lying.
They must maybe train their HR staff to do a better job then this wouldn’t of happened.
I’m sorry to hear that you had a bad experience Karen. WBN prides itself of treating our virtual assistants and clients with respect and doing everything we can to deliver a WOW experience.
