WP Fix It Review

Services

WP Fix It offer instant support, infection malware virus removal, infection insurance, site speed-up services, and offer a complete website management and support service. If you are looking to hand over the management of your site so you can rest easy knowing it’s in safe hands, WP Fix It are waiting for your call.

Website downtime can be costly to any business. Not just financially, but it can be damaging to your brand and reputation if customers are experiencing problems accessing your site.

Plus, I know I’ve personally felt the frustration of trying to make WordPress bend to my will and having little to show for it after hours of effort. These guys aim to fix those frustrating moments, and for just $39 a pop. You gotta ask, how much is your sanity worth?

WP Fix It Intro Video

Plans and Pricing

There is a flat fee of $39 to fix any one-off issue. If the issue is not resolved for any reason, you get your money back.

wp fix it pricing

They also do site speed-up services for $97, and virus and malware removal for $87.

One potential downside is the lack of an “unlimited” plan if you have lots of things you’d like to tweak on your site. Of course on the flipside, you don’t have any recurring expenses once your issue is resolved.

WP Fix It Alternatives

Due to the popularity of the WordPress platform, a number of maintenance and support companies have popped up. Zen WP and Access WP, both offer unlimited “small jobs” in the WordPress support arena for a low flat monthly fee.

WP Fix It is a little less expensive than these two for single task fixes, and with their money back guarantee there is a peace of mind that WP Fix It will either fix your issue or refund your money.

With the option to use these companies for one-off fixes without being tied into contracts or monthly plans it’s a good opportunity to try more than one company. If you find yourself paying for fixes on a regular basis you should look into the monthly plans they companies offer to see which best suits your business needs.

  1. I engaged this company to help me with a plugin that was significantly slowing a wordpress site. I started with the basic plan as I had read all the services and it seemed to fit. I was promptly advised to pay for a more expensive service, which I did. The agent was really very rude, but I figured he might be having a hard day or something and carried on with the services. Next he asked for my hosting credentials which seemed a little off. I gave it to him trusting the reviews I read were spot on.
Next he informs me that my hosting company is “the worst” and that I should change it to another one where I, no surprise, I get a great deal if I use their coupon code. NO THANK YOU. I call my hosting and do what he told me to do, and next thing you know, I have a security warning screen and my site is TOTALLY GONE. He, again with a lot of attitude, informs me that this is my fault and he can’t do anything until it is back online. But I had literally only done what he asked. Next, I find out that my IP address had been changed, WEIRD.
I am now on my 4th call to my host trying to undo what he has done and when I asked for a refund, I was told I could have 50% back of the more expensive plan that they sold me to no fix my issue. DO NOT ENGAGE THIS COMPANY.

Jay is horrible to work with – beware!!, he deleted one of my websites. Started out pleasant enough but became belligerent, arrogant, believed he fixed my problem and wouldn’t listen to what I was experiencing from my end. While he was working I tried to tell him I had another website in the files I saw him passing around. He dismissed me. In the end, I am nowhere ahead with my original website issue, and he also ended up deleting my other website!! Whether by accident or malicious, I don’t know, but he is unpleasant, and incompetent. He would not even look at the evidence I presented to show that I was still experiencing the problem. I ended up calling someone else who was good enough to listen and see that what I had going on was severely odd, and at least agree with me rather than sending me angry emails. Jay should not be dealing with people.

As a past customer. I was attempting to ask questions about a package (WP Speed Up Package) I had purchased.

I had received a marketing email that this package was on sale for 24 hours.

OK. Normal marketing to create urgency. Thus, I took a look at my past purchase/service with them.

A WP-plugin was included with the purchase of the speed up package.

So when I contacted their lovely and talented chat agent. I was told they no longer supported the plug-in WP Fix It installed.

In fact, I was told by this lovely agent that it had been years since they did this.

When I checked my records. It had been 691 days ago. So maybe they thought they were talking to my dogs in terms of years ago.

The lovely and talented agent. Then referred me to their really spectacular and special caring customer service.

So now I figured it was best to ask what comes with this very same package (I had purchased).

It publicly states on their site:

    OUR GUARANTEE IS SUPER SIMPLE
Let’s not make this complicated … Here’s Our WordPress Speed Up Guarantee

We will not require any more than $97 to speed up your site.

    OK, sounds good to me.

However, when asked how long this will be good for? (based on purchasing the very same service many years ago. Err, 691 days ago)

A reasonable question. Or so I thought.

The spectacular email support answered with:

“If we find a better plug-in in the market that produces better results we have a right to change the way we do our service. This will be our last reply on the matter.”

OK. Understood. So I asked again to gain further clarity or a little due diligence.

“How long do I expect this package to be good for 6 months, 1 year, etc?”

I received a beautiful swift response: “Please find another company. WE DO NOT want your business.”

The 1st 24/7 WORDPRESS SUPPORT COMPANY!

So, if you want to do business with this company. Do plan on being received with an open heart. And being treated in a most professional and courteous manner.

While you may enjoy a temporary peace of mind getting an issue resolved.

.. In the meantime. If any one finds their Terms of Agreement. Be glad to see the url.

I would not use this company again. I was desperate and experienced enough to know what was probably the issue but wanted an objective person to look at the problem. I got Jay, who was probably correct in his assessment but very rude and dismissive in his reply. He ended the ticket and told me I should apply for a refund, since he really did nothing but point to another piece of software as the problem. okay. fair enough. but then I got a 48$ credit not a refund. I used the Tamarra who I hope is a robot, otherwise she is the worst customer service agent to ever exist. I tried calling the number on their website but it says they are busy and they don’t want you to wait and then hangs up, no call back. what if you want to wait. I have no idea how to get my refund and no way to reach the company. Jarrett if you are listening. You need to look into all these complaints. I read all the way down the page and the customer service gets slammed again and again. I would appreciate a reply. thanks.

  2. The guy called Jay really is a mess in WPfixit, I asked for support on my site of Apprentice Plug because it could not save the course I edit. I am good enough word by word sentence by sentence to let him know what’s the problem. However, to my astonishment, he asked me to use his format to explain the case. i.e. 1. Click this 2. Click this 3. Click this 4. See the issue.

No problem, I spend 15 more mins to use the format he suggested and sent to him again but this turn to be a little bit weird to me because my explanation plus 20 screenshots was clear enough to describe what the problem I am facing.

Then he turn out to work on my WordPress site for a while and report my server down and request me to ask my hosting company to reboot. I told him my hosting company is not 7x 24.

He then blamed my hosting company is small and the hosting company is not good, the server is not good so this leads the server down when copying a large number of files.

Also he said my hosting company is impossible not open at 7 x 24.

However, definitely he cannot wait to show people that he has no common sense and no logic and he got all things wrong. It’s definitely his fault and he is not professional.

The server down is because he never look into the matter and never have enough knowledge to handle customer’s WordPress platform.

He keep on saying that this is not his fault and just like a children, every time I communicate with him he would say this is not his fault, he acts like a child in kindergarten with no point.

This lead me cannot sleep and deal with WPfixit because after the server down, my customers keep on calling in for different enquiries because my information all show on my WordPress but since it was down, my customers have to call me and asked me for information and details.

I did not sleep overnight and next day I have several customer meetings, this impact my life because of this guy called Jay, and he never considerate, attitude was errogant and always think he is right, but actually he all got wrong and with wrong attitude to deal with people, he even don’t know the basic social manner.

Today at 09:30am, my hosting company opened and I called them, they were able to find out the issue in one min, my server could not work was not because it was down, it’s because I had another plugin called Membermouse crashed with WordPress.

What my hosting company did is move the plugin from the plugin file from my WordPress folder by FTP, two mins they fixed the issue.

What I am not satisfied is why after Jay handle my website not only he could not fix my issue with the Apprentice Plugin, but also make my Membermouse plugin crash with the WordPress.

When I sent message to Jay again, he did not have any reply and close my case and refund.

For sure, WPfixit could not fix my problem, a refund is not a mercy, it’s a must. However, what did Jay do on my WordPress so make the Membermouse plugin crash?

I think in the case, at lease WPFixit should repair the Memebermouse plugin for me, this time let me say, this is not my fault, I did nothing to this plugin and pass to Jay, he mess up the thing, then what he could do is to shut down our communication and refund me.

This is really not good to have such a staff like Jay in WPfixit, I feel shame on him.

To my astonishment, when I saw the reviews here, he worked in WPfixit at least since August 2018. I am so surprised such a poor social skills and poor skills on handling WordPress platform how can survive till now.

If the Founder of WP Fix It Mr Jarrett Gucci has already known the issue Jay created and bring a lot of trouble to WP Fix It and still hires him, this company is also not a good company.

Jay totally shows he has no responsibility to leave my Membermouse plugin crashed and could not work then leave, this is for sure related to him and there is no common sense and not logic that he said this is not related to him.

Dear Mr Jarrett Gucci, I hope you can look into this matter. As such a big company with so many years experience, I never think your company’s staff can behave like this.

Also make it clear, I am not a jerk or try to find trouble with any person, I just state out the fact with common sense and logic, I am a customer, for sure I want to have a fair service.

I cannot imagine after I use WP Fix It my server was down and leave one more plugin could not work then give back to me, totally no sense and a good company should not behave like this.

I didn’t wind up using this service, but my initial correspondence with them was not pleasant. Anticipating that this was a bait and switch service, I inquired through chat as to whether I could submit specific requests and get a quote, since I had more than one issue I wanted addressed. I didn’t want to sign up for $39 and then find out its going to cost $1,000 to fix all my issues. Their response was that they only have 1 general support service. So I asked for the record, “will that cover all my fixes?” and instead of giving me a real answer, they said something like we are not set up to answer these questions here and pointed me to another email support. I submitted the same question there, and then got the same response. Needless to say, I am not going to use them, which is a shame, because although I am willing to pay a reasonable price for the 5 or so UI updates I need fixed, I want to know the price upfront. I have a feeling they sell you on the $39 fix and then upcharge you for every single issue they have to look at, but they refuse to even acknowledge these questions in advance, probably so they can legally say they never promised you they would fix more than one issue. C’mon WP FixIt, just be honest and put your policies on the sign up page, you’ll probably wind up getting more business than trying to trick people. We are all willing to pay a fair price for services, but we just don’t want to feel tricked into it with the low price $39 general support hook.

    I just don’t recommend it.
It surely is cheap, but its also a waste of money.
The agent made a sort of “quick fix” that quickly broke again and I did’t get a response from her after reopening the ticket.
I did’t get any real explanation of what was done to the site. Although I could see some plugins renamed and deactivated, an ftp account created with my host. None of this was reported to me.
I find the chat agent (couldn’t figure out if it was a bot or not) a bit rude and not very helpful.
Overall I would say you should look elsewhere.

I too have just had a horrendous experience with WP Fixit. Unfortunately I found my assigned agent to be rude, pushy and not the slightest bit interested in providing customer ‘care’. I tried to explain 5 times what I needed done (as evidenced by the transcript), but this agent refused to respond to this request. Instead, he made a ‘fix’ that I did NOT request and ultimately left my site in a worse condition than it was prior to his supposed help – in fact he left my site completely inaccessible!. I then had to hire another developer at a cost of over US$200 to fix the damage.

As soon as it became obvious that the agent’s work was causing more issues on the site and that he was not taking time to understand my actual problem, I asked him to stop working and to please provide me with documentation on what he had done, so that I could hopefully remedy the worsening situation. At this point the agent quickly closed the ticket so that I could no longer communicate with him. He failed to provide me with any explanation or any documentation. And I could no longer access my site.

What’s more, when I contacted ‘support’ to make a complaint and ask for a refund, the attitude was similarly rude and nasty. Despite a courteous, detailed email from me explaining the situation and offering evidence to back my position, ‘support’ was clearly not interested and fobbed me off in two short sentences. The email wasn’t even signed – just a rude, anonymous message that I wouldn’t be getting a refund.

When I asked for the name of a superior who could help, the reply was just ‘I am the boss. No-one higher.”

I have used this company in the past and had excellent service from other agents. I was shocked and distressed by this recent interaction and won’t be using the service again. I still don’t have a refund, despite the damage that was done to my site and additional cost of getting it rectified.

    1. UPDATE:
I mentioned on my August 1 review that the agent I dealt with left my site completely inaccessible. After contacting my hosting provider, it turns out that this agent had deliberately inserted some code into the .htaccess in the root directory to cause a 500 Internal Server error. My host had to remove this code to allow me to access my site again. At first I couldn’t believe that the agent would have sabotaged my site out of spite, but after reading the reviews about him here I absolutely believe that he did. I have tried to contact the owner to report this criminal behaviour but haven’t had any luck as yet.

      1. Hello

The statements in your review are totally false and not what happened at all here.

We have looked into your support history and you were extremely vulgar and nasty towards our agent because you wanted work completed for free that you did not want to pay for.

We have a zero tolerance for that type of communication and asked you to not use our service anymore and gave you a full refund.

  4. This service was just what I needed. When I logged on to my website to find out I was not allowed access due to malware I called my hosting service who wanted a ridiculous amount of money to resolve the issue. Jay at WPFixit took care of this issue promptly and professionally and even beefed up the security on my site for me. Super easy and cost effective process that I would highly recommend!

Avoid WPFixit at all cost! Lots of these reviews are fake. Incredibly unprofessional and downright rude customer service. After previously working with them to solve an issue, I wanted some more information about their agency service listed on their site. The response I got was blunt, impatient and insulting and before I could explain further Maggie (with the ironic nickname Happy Helper) told me “Best you god another company. ” and closed the chat on me and blocked me. Ridiculous. It was so unbelievably unprofessional that I saved the chat transcripts. Stay clear of WPFixit is all I can say. Horrible work ethic from Maggie the Crappy Helper. They clearly don’t value their customers.

    1. I am Jarrett Gucci the owner of the company and would testify to the facts below.

This review is not correct at all. This person who we had to block access to our servers was extremely aggressive with our chat agent because he did not like the answers that were provided.

We kindly asked him to find another company to do business with as we have a zero tolerance for that type of communication. This is well within the rights of any company.

After this exchange, Phillip began to leave this same exact review all over the web and would taught our live chat pre-sales agent every day until we blocked him there as well.

We have even threatened this person with legal action if their harassing behavior continues.

I want to warn you all to beware of them!!

A lot of reviews about them have been faked.
They were unable to fix my issue and didn’t want to give me a refund since they said it could still be fixed for $400 so i should pay that!! I opened a case with PayPal and they finally agreed to refund.

Jay ended off threatening my website:
“We will process the refund and begin a negative SEO campaign on your websites since you refuse to follow the refund policy YOU AGREED TO.”
They then changed my email address and password on my account!
Customer service- Jay, was particularly rude and hateful towards me.

I advise you to stay away and use another company instead. You dont want to risk giving over any site information to these people.

    2. I was so pleased to read your review here Jane. I had an absolutely horrendous experience with Jay also. I believe that he deliberately sabotaged my website too, spitefully causing a 500 Internal Server Error, so that no one could access my site – me included! Criminal behaviour and absolutely shocking! You can read my experience above.

We also had a very negative experience with Jay today after many positive experiences with other providers at WPFixIt.

When we ultimately asked to be transferred to another support representative, he simply closed our ticket and issued a refund. The issue still exists and now we’re out 4 hours of time spent mostly arguing with him as we tried to get him to look at the actual issue (code injection that was only happening when the user agent was a search engine bot). He didn’t listen to us, grew increasingly surly, managed to take our site down entirely for awhile… and now that I’ve read this reviews, I’m changing all of our passwords and hoping he doesn’t try anything malicious.

Deeply disappointed. Stay away from them.

Excellent service which cleaned my site promptly and professionally.

No complaints, Jay did a stellar job for a reasonable price.

  5. “Uh, you might want to take a look at your website,” the text message said.

Yeah … that’s not a text you ever want to see!

Turned out my several of my sites were hacked late last week and were redirecting to some spam sites.

Just like when somebody steals your stuff in real life, you feel violated!

After my rudimentary attempts at fixing the problem myself failed, I had to turn to some virtual help.

The hosting provider wanted $300 upfront to clean the malware and an additional $75 a month to secure the sites.

That seemed a little steep, given some of these had been online for over 10 years without any issues.

Next I turned to WP Fix It, a WordPress service I’d been meaning to try.

For around $100 they cleaned up one of the sites and got it back to normal.

They also made a bunch of security recommendations to prevent this type of breach from happening again.

(I normally use a security plugin like Wordfence or All in One WP Security — but these sites didn’t have anything like that installed.)

One annoying thing was that the malware remover person needed FTP access, which I could have provided during the initial intake form — only it wasn’t an option and there was no text box to input it either.

This support request was over the weekend and the agent indicated that many of the team members were out of the office for a conference so the turnaround time was probably a little slower than normal.

Overall though, we were happy with the process and happy to have the site back up and running so potential customers can find it and friends don’t have to send those types of texts!

What a Rip-Off. I hired this company to clean my website yesterday after it got hacked. It seemed like the guy did a good job and I continually thanked him throughout the process. But I clearly stated in the beginning that updating some of the plugins would break my site. He updated them anyway, and when I told him about it, he said it was “Out of the scope” of the issue I paid for, even though he caused the problem. OK – So today I paid for yet another “ticket” to repair the 3 issues caused by updating my theme plugin, and the same guy informs that he’ll only fix one of the issues, even though its the one plugin that is causing the problem. I told him to fix all 3 issues (being they were all from the same plugin update) or refund my money, to which he replied that he issue a refund because they don’t deal with rude people…??

Also, they sent me a coupon for 20% off $100 for a $100 or more purchase. I added another ticket to my cart (to speed up the site) and tried to apply the coupon, which didn’t work. When I opened the chat box to speak to “Maggie” for the 3rd time within 10 minutes about the coupon, she didn’t even know what I was talking about and wanted to know where I got a coupon. She was very rude on all 3 chats trying to hurry me along and I had to ask her 2 or 3 times to please give me a moment to finish typing.

I’m very disappointed with this company and won’t waste my money on them again. Now I’ll have to hire another programmer to fix this programmers mess.

At one point I told him that I didn’t find the way he was communicating with me very friendly. He immediately closed the ticket and issued a refund with the comment “Issuing a full refund. Find another company”. Since that moment their customer service has been unreachable.

Never saw something like this before. Unbelievable.

      Hi Karlijn,
Yep, I know what you mean, Unbelievable isn’t it? Especially if they care about their online reputation at all. It’s not hard to be a little bit more courteous and understanding. Especially when the customer might not be as technical or understanding of something. There is no patience or care for your needs with this company. I have been running my website for 14 years, it is my only income, my business is my life, needless to say it means a lot to me, then when something happens to it I hate having to get tech help from inconsiderate rude people who really couldn’t care less about your life at all and they make this very clear… Makes me depressed. Recently I’ve been thinking of doing something else if I can’t find anyone to help me without ripping me off and providing very poor service on a scale I’ve never seen before. Unbelievable is right. Then you get the owner on here who seems to get off on saying how old the company is and loves promoting himself as the owner and stands behind this company and it’s people? It’s just weird, now I have a broken site and no-one will help me, just keep going around in circles with them and throwing more money after bad when they tell me to purchase a new ticket. None of these problems started until I opened the first ticket. It’s like I’m paying money to have my site screwed with more and more each time. I just feel like an idiot for trusting them now. I seriously need to get a new job for my mental health now. Unbelievable is right! Thanks. Now what do I do?

I’ve been struggling along with my site for 14 years now and after reading reviews here and a couple of negative (and positive) experiences myself with other WP help sites (and coders in general), I can kind of see both sides I think. People need to understand that when you are getting help they are also trying to help many others at the same time, it might seem a bit impersonal or rude but it’s all because they are trying to be efficient as possible and service many other stressed out people at the same time as you. You can help everybody down the line by having your credentials all in one place ready to copy and paste over in one reply so they can easily find it all when they need it, this will make it all move along faster and they can help you easily. I now use the secure notes in LastPass to do this. I will be using WpFixIt again if I have anything I need done quickly and on a budget. Thanks WP Fix It for a great service, especially if you’re on a tight budget like me. And congratulations Jarrett for running a successful business for so long, I know how hard that can be, especially with so much competition popping up in this industry over the years. But we all need guys like you online so thanks mate! .Stay strong and don’t ever let a few negative reviews get you down.

  7. Jay has been incredible in speeding up my website. I remember being so nervous when i checked my site stats on GTMETRIX. Jay from WP FIX IT just said that he will do his best to optimize it. He was amazingly patient and replied promptly to my every question. Not only did he fix the speed issues but made my site completely optimized. I just thought that i would have to take some extra steps in future, however Jay immediately clarified saying that I dont have to do anything, since everything is now automated. Thanks a ton guys, the service is totally worth!!

Like many others here, I had an absolute horrid experience with this company.

I was on their website when a pop up offered me a 50% discount if I bought their services right then and there. I decided to go ahead, but when I attempted to complete my purchase, I got a message saying “the coupon has been removed” and the site attempted to charge me full price.

I emailed the company asking them to honor the coupon they offered me on the site, otherwise, I said, they were clearly engaging in underhanded business practices.

I expected an apology. Instead, like so many others here, I got a rude, insulting, as well as obviously dishonest reply: “We do not want your business. This is just a case of bad timing as our offer pop ups changed today and you happened to be see it before and after the change. We would have gladly honored the 50% off for your purchase if you were not accusing of of un-ecthical practices.”

Stay away unless you enjoy bait and switch sales tactics and being insulted.

  10. This service was extremely fast and efficient with solving our WordPress website issues due to a hosting service transfer and missing database files. Well, WP Fixit is a very hard site to navigate. I’ve gotten good results from hiring them. But my feelings are mixed. I can’t tell whether or not they are causing problems on my site, just so they can then be hired to fix them. Which makes me sound paranoid. Which is not a good thing. It’s kind of weird. The solution called changing my passwords doesn’t really make much sense.

My website was hacked with Malware several months ago, so I had to place it into maintenance mode, to protect my users.
When the site was first hacked I thought it would be an easy and fast fix. However, what I found was a long line of overpriced arrogant premadonnas wanting to have me to commit to a year long contract, “after” charging me an exorbitant amount to remove the malware.

What I finally found was a fair cost through WP Fixit. I almost gave up on having my site fixed, Glad I found them!

This is my 7th ticket with WP Fix it and I can say that I am so very happy with them. As a WordPress web designer I am in need of someone to do “tech support” work for my clients especially when the work is over my head. I am so grateful for a company like WP Fix It who are able to respond expeditiously and save both my clients and I money, time, and frustration. Being able to go to this service for my client’s needs is a very comforting thing considering most “WordPress Experts” want anywhere from 5-10 times what WP Fix It charges, which as a small business owner is not feasible and could cost me clients. Definitely recommend to anyone with a WordPress site!

First go around with WP-fixit worked well.

This time, my site they worked on is worse than before.

Like Rex, was getting the https service but instead was told to get the malware virus – which I did and for a wp folder attached to it. Then the tech said everything was good to go, until I mentioned I couldn’t even make a post and data was missing.

Said I had to pay for more service. Now please explain how a site ends up worse when you do exactly what they tell you to do.

Have tried to contact the owner with no luck after sufficient time.

  13. UPDATE:

  15. Unfortunately, my experience with WP Fix It was more like Michael’s. Their technical proficiency seemed OK the couple of times I used them, but the communication has brief to the point of being terse, hardly “warm and fuzzy.” But so what?

However, WP Fix It has been sending scary e-mails about the need to switch to SSL, so today, I tried to get answers to a couple of simple questions regarding SSL, something I know nothing about. Twice the person (I guess it was Kumar, but the e-mails were not signed, so don’t know for sure) kept blowing me off, totally unwilling to engage with my issue. When I complained about this lack of “bedside manner” and lack of interest, got this unsigned response:

I’ve received excellent help from WPFixIt and being a total WP newbie, I’ve needed it! Prompt response, clearly understood what I wanted/needed in the way of fixes and then prompt service. Can’t say enough about them…

  27. Arrogant owner. Terrible service. They blast through stuff like mad. Flickering from page to page at breakneck speed. If you’re trying to learn, the only thing you’ll learn is you wasted your money. They won’t help you. If you even so much as ask where they are when they haven’t responded in while, they get all bent out of shape like they’re the only ones who are overworked.. Forget them. Look around for someplace that isn’t run by a real headcase

    1. Hello. My name is Jarrett Gucci and I am the owner. Would love to know more about your situation. Our agents are really fast and not really there to do training but to simply fix issues in a flash. Would love to hear how we can improve. Please friend me on Facebook so we can chat. I am the only Jarret Gucci.

My WP Fixit agent, Robert, went far above and beyond what I expected. These guys are real pros, and I couldn’t be happier with the service and the results. What I had assumed to be a relatively simple javascript & css fix turned out to be far more complex, and my agent didn’t break a sweat diving in and tacking the problem even though it took several hours and involved redesigning my website header. Highly professional and a great value. I won’t hesitate to use this service in the future.

WP Fixit is awesome! I cannot say enough good things about their work. I have called on them several times, and each time, they came through with “flying colors.” What I really love about them is their fast response, which saved me many an embarrassing moment with my customers.
They have never failed me in fixing my WordPress problems.

Great help! I had my site go down for some weird reason, it stopped processing CSS, and that messed everything up. These guys found the root problem, made a temporary fix, and once i resolved the issue with my ISP (months later), they went back in, and made everything nice and neat!

I worked with Kumar who was so helpful in solving my problem. After getting vague help with my hosting company and the WP plugin creator, my agent worked for a long time to help solve my complex compatibility problem that involved several plugins and a custom theme. I had an agent contact me less than 30 minutes after I submitted a ticket and they spent about 1 hour on my site. I paid the extra $9 for live screen access and the live chat, and it was really valuable for describing the issue in more detail, answering questions and solving what I couldn’t solve myself.
I think it’s a worthwhile service when you need your site fixed immediately, and you don’t want to shop around for quotes from freelance developers who don’t even know the source of your problems yet! The rate I paid matched the average price I researched beforehand for reliable and experienced WP developers on freelancing sites. Will use them again if I break my site once more 🙂

    1. This is so nice of you to take the time and write this. Kumar was the first agent we hired and he has been with us since the beginning. Glad he has not lost his touch…. 😉

I honestly can’t say enough GOOD things about this service. Wpfixit has got me out of so many jams with my site. They have always been fast, responsive, helpful and of course affordable. It puts me at ease that I know I have them to turn to when my site has an issue. I would highly recommend this service to anybody, you won’t regret it!

I’m currently trying to get my money back. Don’t be deceived by their 100% money back guarantee on their home page. The fine print says 50% if you cancel the order-even if they can’t fix it. After their tech said, “Maybe ask host if they can do a restore on their end. Much faster.” And after spending 20+ hours with the host, WPFixIt’s tech said, “You stated you fixed the issue and I never stated I was done working on it.” Also, there seems to be no way around asking their tech for the refund –> there is no direct line to customer service department. Poor customer service. Their tech should have stated that he couldn’t fix the issue on his end and canceled the job after 10 min.

    1. There is no fine print on our site. There is however a refund policy which all customer must agree to before they checkout and is very standard for all online services. Looks like you canceled your ticket before we could exhaust all troubleshooting efforts. It is clearly stated in our refund policy what is done in this situation.

Would be happy to get on the phone and talk about it if you like and issue you some additional store credit or perhaps a speed up service offer. Let me know.

I’ve been a customer if WP Fix It since the beginning. They have fixed a number of issues with my website promptly and graciously.

I did have one experience that didn’t meet that level is excellence, but after escalating the issue, it was taken care of in short order.

As a small business owner, I’ve been very happy with the support I’ve received.

    1. You are MOST WELCOME. While we love fixing your site, we also hope you never have to use us again so you can focus on driving your business and achieving all your goals!

Please call me at 206-232-9474 if you are being honest about hearing feedback about your company. I was just banned from your company because “we have a zero tolerance for customers like you that are aggressive and insulting.” I invite you to look at the entire email thread for Ticket #26034 Bundle Item returns This Item Unavailable. I believe my emailed messages were direct and clear, and in fact, Jay provided substandard services. If you agree that I am a “bad customer” (by the way I had three quite successful outcomes with agents other than Jay) I will gladly move along. Otherwise, I plan to be truthful in my assessments about you employees.

      1. Hello Robert,

I have reviewed your ticket communication and you were extremely aggressive with our agent who was trying to help you.

Of course this is not tolerated and we have the right to refuse service to anybody just as any other business in the world has this right. You were issued a full refund and asked not to use our service.

I am sorry but in this case there is nothing to discuss.

I tried WPFixit for about a month, and ended up canceling.

First, the good. They are extremely fast. Every time I submitted a ticket I received a response within minutes.

As for technical competency, they are also good. They were able to solve every issue until it was complete. From simple maintenance to speed optimizations, I was satisfied they know WordPress inside and out and are competent at what they do.

Now, the bad. Similar to the experience of other reviewers, I too found communications to be consistently brusque and unprofessional, even disgruntled. At first, I was willing to overlook that as in my experience the best developers aren’t great at customer care. But it is nice that you are actually communicating with the developer directly instead of an account manager as a go-between. So it seemed like it might be an acceptable trade off, albeit unpleasant.

However, if you are the kind of person that prefers a friendly and professional interaction, you will probably be unsatisfied. For me, the emotional experience was as if interacting with me and responding to my questions was an annoyance.

But the main reason I ended up cancelling was due to their lax security. I was consistently asked to provide login information over email, which is a very bad practice from a security standpoint.

Even when I pointed it out and tried sharing passwords using https://pwpush.com their system would still expose the information through email when they replied to the ticket.

The proper way of handling this would be for them to have a secure area in the account admin where customers could post their login info for the WPFixIt team to access.

When I suggested this, the agent responded, “We have never had this issue with an other of the 1000s of sites we manage each month.”

For me, the fact that they actually defended their insecure practice rather than taking the idea as a suggestion for improvement was the final straw.

Most professional web agencies have service agreements with clients restricting sharing passwords over email for a good reason.

So if you’re just running a small website, aren’t too concerned about security and don’t mind a somewhat unfriendly communication experience, WPFixIt might still be a good option. The prices are reasonable and response is quite fast.

We had sent our issues initially in an email and they said go buy ticket and we will start fixing it and when I bought ticket they went ahead and said they would do just 1 fix and the error that I mentioned were minor and paying 39$ for 1 fix is too much m when I asked them why didn’t they notify me earlier they had no answer , so I gave 1 fix that had to be done immediately and they asked for FTP password and I asked them for confirmation that they will not share the password with third part and the response I get : ”
You know what. We do not wish to do business with you. We will not work with someone like you that is assuming we will do something malicious. We service 100s of tickets per day and many Fortune 500 companies.
I will forward your payment to our refund department and please never use our service again.

this is so rude , they do not know how to handle clients at all . The worst IT group we have ever worked with , don’t go by their price , at the end you just get bashed out

    1. Hello Las
I am the owner of WP Fix It. Not sure what happened hear because we can not receive support requests via email. Would love some more information to see where we went wrong and can improve it.

      Thanks Las!

  29. I experienced the same problems mentioned above; not with the services provided; they did fix my site and they fixed it extremely fast. Their customer service was extremely lacking though. I got two extremely rude responses to my legitimate concern with how they do business. I tried to express to them the importance of customer service as a small business and they obviously need a class on people skills. If you don’t know what you need or have questions expect rude responses.

I had the exact same issue as many people here. The company could not fix any of the issues that I had submitted tickets for.

I figured one of the problems that might be that my hosting company was preventing WPFixit from dealing with the technical problems by limiting access (I should point out that I’m not website tech savvy at all). So, my solution was to ask to use the funds I had already paid to WPFixit towards a monthly maintenance plan and get WPFixit to host, that way they would have full access to everything they needed. In my opinion, a win/win for everyone. They still keep the money and I get my current and future website issues resolved.

When I contacted their customer service I experienced the same treatment that many people here described. Condescending, rude and unprofessional. I am a business owner and if I had a customer come to me and offered me the opportunity to keep them as a long term customer, I would do everything in my power to come up with a solution for that customer, regardless of what my company policies stated. Even if that meant refunding a small sum of money with the promise of ongoing business, that’s just good business sense. That’s not what I got from the WPFixit rep. Instead he just through company policy in my face. When I asked for a refund he threw the refund policy at me, which he stated that I had agreed to but which, in fact, I had never seen before. As an aside, my business’s refund policies are extremely clear and explicitly posted for my customers, they know exactly what they are signing up for before, during and after they purchase from me. Some other people on this review site have pointed out that the refund policy’s a joke, it’s not only a joke it’s misleading. For example, on their purchase page they claim, “If we can’t fix it we will refund your money. You have nothing to lose!!!” But when you find their actual policy, they claim that they stand by their work 100%. But, of course there’s a lot of work that goes into processing a ticket, so they’ll only give you 50% (already not standing behind their work 100%). But wait, you can only get a 50% refund if you haven’t purchased a ticket, or a special offer, or monthly services…which is pretty much anything customers would have purchased. So, really they stand behind their work exactly 0%.

In a way, I’m glad I didn’t pull the trigger for the monthly service because this has given me the chance to really see what kind of service they really provide. I’ll be looking for a better alternative.

    1. Hello Glen

I am the owner of WP Fix It. Sorry if our refund policy may be confusing. This is there to read and ask questions on before purchase and must be agreed to before a transaction is completed.

Looks like you purchased a Black Friday special which loaded $390 of ticket credit into your account. Then you have submitted 3 tickets since then at the links below over 7 months ago and never replied to the agents that requested info to resolve your issues. Fee free to reply now if you like. The tickets will re-open.

They did not resolve my issue. Refused a refund. The 100% satisfaction guarantee does not exist. Their staff are rude and result to sarcasm after being informed that paypal to protect against digital purchases, despite being told by WP fixit to drop my claim. After informing of paypal’s policy does cover digital purchases their agent “Jay” responded with sarcasm despite the fact he couldn’t get a simple FTP connection to work. His actually responses to my posts:

In response to a link explained paypals digital purchase policy:

“That is awesome. Guess you have nothing to worry about. Take care!”

    My response was:

“Nice sarcasm. Gonna look great in the review sites! 🙂 Kudos to you dude… ”

    His response was:

“I don’t own this company. Just making pennies on each ticket and you screwed me out of my money even when I communicated well and was stuck because FTP did not work. I did my part and you took advantage. But it all comes back around. Good luck to you!”

This is the sort of agents they employ. FTP was working and confirmed by two remote parties. The IP address he was using was added to a whitelist. He’s response to a refund request was “I’ve screwed him out of pennies”. So they pay their support staff pennies. They don’t issue refunds when they can’t resolve the issue. They value they staff so little to pay “pennies”. And their staff become rude and sarcastic when an issue with their work is raised in a polite manner. Avoid like the plague!

    1. Hello Gavin,

I read through your ticket communication and the agent spent about 6 hours working on your site and could not complete it because you were unable to provide FTP credentials which was also asked for in our initial ticket submission form.

You then decided to simply do a PayPal dispute even though we provided the exact service you purchased but could not complete the cleaning of the infected files because you could not provide FTP credentials which is required.

Sorry it worked out this way. We will look at clearer ways to tell our customers that in some cases FTP info is required to resolve their issues.

Let me know if you have any questions. Here to help always!

I’ve never had an experience as good as the one I had with WP Fix it. They were fast, accurate…solved the problem, and helped me to understand what broke and how to fix it permanently. I’ve tried just about every resource I can find to help me fix WordPress. I’m a typical small business owner that shouldn’t be messing with it at all, but I get caught in the trap of spending thousands on third parties to develop entire sites, versus piecing it together on my own with WordPress and plugins. Invariably it breaks and I have paid countless hundreds to developers all over the world to un-break it. I will never use anyone other than WP-Fix It again.

I had a bad hacking and WPFixit not only cleaned up the hack, but also submitted a request to Google to remove the blacklist notice on my site. I was confused and frustrated on why my site was hacked, but WPFixit really helped me. I don’t have a ton of money, and some of the other cleanup services are two to five times the cost of WPFixit’s infection cleanup service.

I really didn’t know how to do clean it up, and I just wanted my site back up. WPFixit did it!

I also learned a few things to try to keep my website safe. I’ve not had another hacking, but I trust my site in WPFixit’s agents hands anyday.

Wow, I am surprised you have had such issues working with WP Fixit. I have used them for multiple issues I have had on my sites and every encounter has been phenomenal. They have not only solved the issues, but done so in a thorough and communicative manner.

  30. I have been using WPFixit for 2 years now. Bluehost originally referred me. Between myself and my clients, I have processed well over 100 tickets including basic problems, hack repair, hack insurance, and site speed.

I have never ever had a negative experience. The owner is hands-on and the support team does not quit until your issue is resolved.

There are not many people that I would give access to my hosting accounts, but with them, it’s never a concern. LOVE wpfixit!!!
