About Video Husky
The company is headed up by founder and current CEO Justin Tan. Justin is a writer, digital nomad, and entrepreneur. He started Video Husky to “help video creators build leverage in their businesses so you’re free to focus on the more important things in life!”
Video editing can take a lot of time, especially if it’s not within your core skillset. So, if you prefer creating video content over editing and fine-tuning it yourself, outsourcing this part of the process is for you.
Video Husky provides a service that is less expensive than hiring a video editor, and quicker than vetting and searching for your own freelancer editor. When you sign up for their monthly plan, you’re introduced to your dedicated editor.
From there you can send as many videos as you want to be edited each month. With the caveat of sending one at a time.
How Video Husky Works
There’s a 3-step process to using Video Husky service, and it’s all handled through a project management tool called Wrike.
- Sign up for their monthly plan and register your details. Then you’ll be invited to join Wrike where you can fill out a video editing request form and upload your video.
- You’ll receive the finished video within 1-2 days.
- You can check the video and request any changes/edits you want. You can make as many edits as you want. Video Husky want every video to be just as perfect as you do.

Video Husky Alternatives
Vidchops is probably the best-known competing service, and if you’re only producing one video a week, you’ll find their pricing more affordable.
If you don’t have the need for ongoing video editing, but just need some occasional help, you might find a freelance video editor on FreeeUp or Fiverr.
Your Turn
Have you worked with Video Husky? If so, please share a quick review of your experience below to help others with their decision.
Personally really love Video Husky. I’ve been producing content myself so I have a pretty focused perspective on what I need. Maybe if you don’t know what you want it’s not a good fit (no one is a mind reader) but they are good for the work. I’ve become excited because the time difference is perfect for me to finish a shoot and pass off that same day. It’s usually back the next morning for a few revisions then we’re done.
I send out proxies to make file sizes smaller and then they send me the final video and a premiere file that I can link up and send to a finishing editor here for final pieces.
All in all, I can’t be more happy with this service.
I’ve used Video Husky for about 2 months, about 700 dollars a month. It was the laziest and worst video editing service I’ve ever used. It takes about 4-5 business days for a simple videos. Constantly, the editor would leave out B rolls or too lazy to review the videos. There were a lot of mistakes, lack of creativity, and the quality of a 10 years old editor. I would not recommend this shitty service to any one.
Hi Josh,
First thanks for your honest feedback.
Sorry your experience with us wasn’t up to par. We have over 200 happy customers. This is a very human business, so despite our best efforts every so often it’s possible to get an editor and client match that just doesn’t work.
Unfortunately, it sounds like this was the case with your account. I’d like to invite you to give the service another chance. We’ll match you up with two highly skilled editors so you can choose the best and give you a free month of service. Please email me the details from your previous account and I’d be happy to get you setup!
Kind regards,
Michael Holmes

I’ve used Video Husky for 3 months now and they have really impressed me with their video editing skills, communication, and promptness.
The service has allowed me to scale my YouTube and online course production. Highly recommend them if you are in the market for a video editing service. And the price point is awesome.
