These are tasks that can take up to 30 minutes to complete (other companies typically use a 15-minute guideline), but if you have longer tasks, you can apply multiple task credits to the job.
At those price points, Efficise is definitely one of the best bang-for-your-buck services out there, and $2-$4 per request is a pretty small price to get dozens of time-sucking tasks off your plate each month. Theoretically the $100 plan could save you up to 25 hours a month, which is huge.

If a dedicated assistant would be helpful for longer projects, or recurring business-specific tasks, Efficise can help there too. Dedicated support starts at $10 an hour, and is billed by usage without any subscription commitment.
With this setup, you can outsource jobs like social media management, outbound calling, transcription, emails, data entry, and even customer service.
None of these plans come with any start-up fees, contracts or long-term commitments. You can track progress on your tasks in real time, and cancel your Efficise service whenever you want.
On a per-task basis, Efficise is much more cost-effective than Fancy Hands (mentioned above), which ranges from $4-6 per task — and their tasks only run 20 minutes. One company that operates a similar model is OkayRelax, which provides a dedicated assistant at $4 per task when you buy 25 tasks a month.
The drawback to going dedicated in any VA setup is that turnaround times will usually be slower than with services using the team-based approach.

I paid USD50 this month to get some credits to help with researching accommodation in the Middle East. I started off with a template spreadsheet to list out the kind of attributes/details I wanted to know. I gave them a search area. I gave them a website directory that listed a lot of the accommodation details for them to glean the info with little effort. I gave them as much time as they needed.
What did I get back?
I got back basic information on 4 premises, when in reality there are more than a dozen in the area. They also tried to take credit for the fictitious entries I loaded on to the spreadsheet template.
At first glance, you think it might be really good value. But the truth is the service is absolutely terrible. Little in the way of an apology, no offer of money back and weeks wasted!!! Absolute sham!! The usual adage of you get what you pay for applies. BE WARNED!!

I have been working with Basalat and I, from the start, impressed with his professionalism and his response time. Each response email is formatted in such a way that the information is clearly and easily visible and accessible. The tasks I’ve assigned have been completed quicker than I expected (within a couple hours). Even though they are located in Pakistan, they were able to contact local businesses (Las Vegas, NV) during local business hours seeking out pricing information for services and were able to concisely convey that information back to me via email.
I’ve been using Efficise for several months and have had a great experience! I’ve already recommended the company to a few friends. Everyone has been very polite and responsive, no complaints on my end.

My husband and I have been using Efficise for quite a few months now and they are irreplaceable. Any time I’m really curious about something for work, health, or even social commitments, I just shoot a quick email and I know it will be handled within a day or 2. It’s extremely helpful for those annoying tasks where you really don’t want to spend your time doing it but it has to get done. For example: “Please find me a list of 7-10 mechanics (or doctors, or banks, etc etc) and call each one and ask if they do THIS service and how much it costs.” BOOM there it is on an Excel spreadsheet so I can easily find the top 2 contenders with a quick glance! Vital help for the busy, efficient, or even lazy entrepreneur or employee!
At $30 USD for 15 tasks, Efficise represents fantastic value. You can use multiple tasks for larger jobs. As a general-purpose VA at that price point, you cannot expect them to know your business/industry/discipline in-depth, and with that in consideration their quality is brilliant. I love the peace-of-mind from knowing that I can send a task to a VA when I am short on time, and at this price it’s a pretty good insurance policy.
I used Efficise for a few months to experiment with offloading some of my computer tasks.
They did a good amount of online research, including local restaurants, travel itinerary planning, and general research for some of my personal interests.
I found their staff professional, prompt, ad efficient.
One positive experience I recall was a request I made that had some complexity and my email wasn’t very clear. An assistant responded with his work, but later re-read the email and picked out what I had originally meant, and re-did the work with the new understanding. I was impressed at his dedicated.
On the negative side, sometimes the research results are not as thorough as I would like. I.e. if I were to do the research myself I’m confident I would have come up with more results. That said, for the price of my plan, I’m not expecting results to exceed my expectations every time.
Their Individual Plan, which I was on, is a great bargain at $30/mo for 15 tasks.

Was good in week 1 & 2. Was recommended to try them but sadly not impressed. Stayed missing tasks, not replying and quality of output was low.
Bargain basement but really at the price you’d be crazy to expect more. For me its a false economy. Nice people but they don’t really deliver what’s needed and so you end up taking more time.
Been really pleased with the quality, sped and dedication from Efficise. Have used for many months and will be using again.

Really recommend using the service. This is my third month and using Efficise is now an essential part of my work flow.
I’ve been using Efficise for the past 6 months and have been impressed with the VA services provided to me by Balasat, Valeed and the team. I’m now using the largest package as it’s good value and is saving me time. All my requested tasks are completed reasonably quickly (my tip is to flag super urgent tasks), saving me time to focus on the other aspects of my life – family, friends and career.
The type of tasks I request regularly are: contacting my children’s school, dinner reservations, setting up appointments, personal and family diary management, hotel and expense receipt requests, quotations/pre shop quotes (they bought me a microwave a few months back and arranged for it to be delivered when I was at home), billing enquiries, arranging repairs and general admin/data entry. I have a fashion brand loyalty account where I was owed loyalty credits. Valeed managed and followed this up with the brand and subsequently I was credited $750 due to the reconciliation he did (I only thought I was owed a few hundred dollars!).
Their communication is clear and concise and work well over email and the dashboard. I find using the email@example.com the best way to request assistance.
Given globalisation, I find where the team is based hasn’t impacted the quality of work or delivery – they are always on the phone managing my requests to Australia, New Zealand and other parts of the world.
Signed up for Efficise based on the feedback on this site, first time using an outsourcing service like this. Basalat Khan completed my task for me and did a fantastic job. Highly recommended.

I’m in my first week of a second try with Efficise. I am using an individual, task-based plan. I remember why I left the first time. The quality of output that comes back has frequently not been good in my experience. Some examples:
-Short transcriptions I requested come back with mostly nonsensical sentences, despite the VA’s clear grasp of English
-There’s a feature that allows you to set a task to be done in the future. I did this to have them check in for a flight for me. It did not happen.
-Multiple research requests I made were clearly done with single Google searches and stopped. The results were not relevant and showed that the VA didn’t really read my request carefully at all.
-There was one task where I specifically asked the VA to contact a hotel to get further information, and it was clear to me that he copied and pasted information from the hotel’s website and sent it to me. When I called him out on it, he finally contacted the hotel and gave me the info I was looking for (which was not on the website, of course).
I don’t know if my bad experience has more to do with my choice of task-based service instead of their hourly business plans. It seemed like one VA would take care of all my tasks for a period of the day, so I wonder if they’re short staffed. I’d emphasize here though that the poor quality was from multiple VAs.
On top of all of this, the turnaround time is quite slow. I fully recognize that this company is based in Pakistan, but even tasks sent at a time that would be mid-morning there went untouched for hours. There is a feature that allows you to prioritize tasks so that they work on them sooner. Even doing this, I had waits of 6 and 8 hours recently before the status went from “Pending” to “Active” and then more time until they were completed.
The slow turnaround time on top of poor-quality output totally turns me off, as I can do these short tasks myself with far less delay and aggravation. In short, I feel like Efficise caused MORE distraction and inefficiency than it alleviated.
I’d also add that queries about more information about the business plan went completely unanswered and unacknowledged. I don’t think I’m being unreasonable.

I have been really impressed with Efficise. I’ve been using the service for the last few months, and have slowly increased the size of the package I’m on.. Am now using 100 tasks per month. It’s good value. The tasks are completed to a high standard, and very often they seem to go above and beyond — for example, if I’ve asked for a list of a certain type of software, quite often I’ll get a personal recommendation as well as just the list.
The communication is excellent, too. Tasks are completed pretty quickly, and there’s always a very full response showing what they’ve done (often with screenshots).

I’m happy to report my positive experiences with Efficise.
As a medical researcher, I am continually acquiring pdfs of journal articles that need to be organized meticulously so I can find them when writing my manuscripts. Additionally, as a busy physician, I find it challenging to keep my contacts organized, consolidated, and up-to-date.
I joined Efficise to offload some of these crucial but tedious tasks. I worked primarily with two VAs–Valeed and Shahzar–and I was blown away by the results.
Valeed was a workhorse, plowing through dozens (hundreds?) of pdfs in my Dropbox folder. He was so thorough and reliable that I asked him to do some basic research groundwork for me (finding articles on a certain topic, compiling the text in a specific format and emailing me the results in docx files). I was so impressed that I emailed him a letter of reference. Shahzar was equally impressive–he seemed more specialized (tech-oriented) and helped me consolidate and standardize my contacts (over 200+ entries) while troubleshooting some longstanding sync issues I’ve had with my G-Mail account, work e-email account, and iPhone. I offered to write him a letter, too. I can’t estimate how many hours these two guys have saved me. What they accomplished for $45 would have taken me multiple workdays.
I use Efficise and Red Butler. Between the two, I think Efficise has quicker response times and is better suited to “brute force” tasks (like organizing a very large dropbox folder or scouring the web with very specific instructions) and IT tasks, which fit perfectly with Efficise’s affordable price point. Currently, I prefer Red Butler assistants (who are American) for communicating with my professional contacts, given their innate mastery of the English language and American social nuances. For me, it’s worth the (considerable) extra expense that RB charges to know that my professional communications aren’t hampered by linguistic or social barriers. But it must be said that my Efficise VAs have excellent grammar and are impeccably professional. As I gain trust with Efficise, I will likely delegate some of these tasks to them, as well.
In short, Efficise is highly recommended. They have made me much more productive and at a very afforable price. Their VAs are timely, professional, well-spoken, and grateful for the opportunity to help. Tremendous value for a busy professional!
I’ve had a fantastic experience with Efficise so far. I’ve used them for everything from making appointments, getting quotes, booking in tradesmen, online research for a book, my websites and even anniversary restaurants for my wife.
Every time I have found that they’ve done a very professional job – either asking clarifications if I wasn’t clear or actually going above and beyond what I’ve asked and exceeding expectations.
The recurring tasks feature is brilliant for my monthly admin tasks such as virtual filing and checking bank balances and payments.
They have access to my calendar, certain documents in Google Drive and veyr recently a read only view of all my bank accounts.
They’ve also been very flexible in the “tasks” if a task takes a long time – they’ll split it into several tasks – rather than refusing to do it.
If you’re thinking about a Virtual Assistant then take some time to think about the jobs that you do that you don’t want to do. Like filing, booking appointments or collecting quotes.
My favourite piece of research was when they found and compare helicopter flights and provided a description of what I’d see whilst flying and the cost. I’m looking forward to taking the one I’ve booked very soon!
I’ve worked with VA’s for more than 3 years and with Efficise I have been working for almost a year. From all the ones I have worked with, Efficise offers the best value for money. The VA’s they work with are knowledgeable, responsive and I find their online platform for giving tasks extremely easy to use and to follow up upon.
Btw: I have used their free trial to check them out first, which I found a big plus, as you can get to know their way of working, what the best way is to give tasks, etc.
I used Efficise for 6 weeks before pulling the pin. Whilst they are the cheapest VA company out there, the quality of the responses is terrible. Out of the 20 or so tasks i set in this time frame, i would say only 1 or 2 were answered adequately.
I set very clear instructions which were barely ever followed. Almost every task required a follow up task to ensure the 1st task was completed in full, and even the second time, the response still wasnt of quality. Although i shouldnt expect much given the price you pay ($45 for 30 tasks), i still expected better responses than what i receieved, even if the person wasnt educated!
Efficise triples to quadruples the speed I can make my internet posts. Sure, I encounter some misspellings and incorrect grammar, but overall, efficise is of tremendous value that has helped my business grow much faster than it was growing before.
Not only do they perform these individual tasks, the more I use efficise, the more I am discovering the huge benefit to the recurring tasks.
Their website occasionally doesn’t operate as it should, but they are quick to respond when I send them a support request to move forward from the problem.

This is so far the best task-based VA I used. The quality and speed of reaction are amazing compared to others. I also like that task can be up to 30 minutes.
I’ve used Efficise’s individual plan for several months and I’m happy with it overall. They offer features that other task-based assistant services do not, like recurring tasks and the ability to easily and securely share passwords using LastPass. They allow you to enter account and contact info in their dashboard, but I prefer to use LastPass. You can even request that they use an email address you’ve created, when sending emails on your behalf.
There were a few times (mostly in the beginning) in which I wasn’t happy with the results, and but they listened to my feedback and they’ve improved a lot.
Their service definitely saves me a lot of time and is worth the price.

I have been using a dedicated assistant for 2 months now. I started off with the “tasks plan” but spent more time trying to work out what to do.
My only down point is that I should have had a skype call with them sooner, I made a big list and they had to spend more time working out stuff than needed.
After the Skype call my VA took charge and has been nudging me and keeping me on track. We use asana.com to work and communicate and they send me a rude email if I send in random tasks by email and don’t stick to the plan 🙂
Stuff around WordPress, eventbrite, Hootsuite, Facebook, research, proofreading and making podcast appointments has been great. I feel much clearer and organised already.
I like to use people and services for an extended period of time before I really start recommending them but if they carry on like this I’ll be making everyone use them.
I wanted to test out the service for myself so I signed up for the 30 task individual plan. Now 30 tasks is a lot to go through in a month, even for me. I think I only ended up using about half of them.
One thing I thought was weird was the tax Efficise added to the subscription fee. At less than $3 it wasn’t a huge deal, but normally VA companies either aren’t charging any tax or they’re baking it into the price.
I primarily used email to submit the tasks but you can also use their online dashboard or contact them via skype.
The results for me were honestly a little hit and miss. Some tasks they did really well, and others they misunderstood or punted completely. For example I asked for some references on companies using treadmill desks in their offices, and they said they couldn’t find any – where the other services I was testing in parallel had no problem.
Several of their responses were very short, containing just a few links to the answer. I would have liked to see a little more in-depth thought come through in their answers. I’m asking for help because I don’t have time to read through a bunch of links; I just want the summary version or a recommended action to take.
It was kind of weird because their responses for other similar online research tasks were pretty good. So just a little inconsistent.
Response times were on the slower side relative to the other VA companies I tested, but in fairness, daytime here is the middle of the night in Karachi so I’m sure that had something to do with it.
And although it is a team-based system, I only got responses from 4 different VAs, and they all used their real names which I thought was a good touch.

I have been with Efficise for more than 7 months now and they guys have been very helpful. They have taken care of my flight check-ins and travel arrangements on regular basis. I do not have to give them instructions each time and I am always sure they will be followed correctly.
They have also been helping me with various research tasks, online purchases and taking care of phone calls with lengthy wait times which is a big time saver.
I’ve even had them do some research for me for more complex matters and they are very detailed.
A couple of different people have handled my requests but the quality and attention to detail stayed the same.
As a busy consultant, my time is very important to me, so using Effice not only saves me time, but since I can use that saved time to work on billable projects, I actually end up saving money each month by using them!

For the past couple of weeks, I have been using Efficise for some personal tasks. I have the Individual plan which allows 200 tasks per month for a low, low price of $59.99 (additional tasks over the initial 200 = $1.50).
I am impressed with their professionalism and their response time. Each response email is formatted in such a way that the information you seek is clearly and easily visible. The tasks I’ve assigned have been completed in a timely manner (within a couple hours). Even though they are located in Pakistan, they were able to contact local businesses (Houston, TX) during local business hours seeking out pricing information for services and were able to concisely convey that information back to me via email.
For the Individual plan, you do not get a dedicated personal assistant so each task may be completed by a different assistant. I think this may actually improve response time as multiple assistants may be working on several tasks at once. However, this does mean that each assistant will handle the task in different ways. One task I gave was to research graduate school application deadlines. This was split into two tasks (there were multiple schools for each task) and was completed by two assistants. One completed the task by explicitly stating the deadlines in the response email, while the other sent direct links to the school’s deadline website. They both gave the same information, but it just illustrated the style difference between the two assistants.
There are a couple negative issues with Efficise though. I did have one task that was marked complete which I never received feedback from (whether or not they were able to complete it). I will have to follow up on this, as it’s not consistent with what I’ve been seeing in the rest of their work. Another is that since they are located within Pakistan, they may not have the best English grammar. However, these do not in any way affect my recommendation for them. To anyone who asks, I will gladly give my recommendation to using Efficise.
To summarize, Efficise is a personal assistant company of good value. They complete tasks in a timely manner and each task is completed in such a way as to make your life simpler and easier. They may not have perfect American grammar, but neither do I. I would highly recommend using Efficise as it will save you tremendous amounts of time and energy!
I’ve been delegating part of my work to Efficise for a couple of weeks now. Since the beginning, I’ve been very impressed by the constant quality and efficiency of the work they have provided. I started with the business option and continued with the individual one now.
They always overachieve what they have to do. They quickly understand what you want and if they are not sure they come back to you with a question or two before launching the work on their side. Questions they ask are really meaningful and I really have the feeling of dealing with a very competent team.
One request I made was to find a couple of importers in a series of towns and find hotels that would be cheap and not too far of them. They came back to me with a plot on Google Maps and nicely put the places in a file. Everything was clear and efficient.
I tried a couple of VAs before them but they deliver better quality than the others!
