I was sold on eaHELP even before I was connected with my new team member because of their attention to detail, thorough needs analysis to ensure I had the right fit, and warmth of employees. Julie and Morgan are an unbelievable power-house welcoming team!

Then I got connected to Kelly and she is the perfect fit for my needs. I know they listened and didn’t just give me the next person in line. Be as specific as possible with the type of person you want and the skill set you are looking for, and they will find a match.

I work for a non-profit so money is always a concern. The investment in eaHELP is, hands-down, the best decision. It’s like getting to hand-pick an all-star team. I don’t view Kelly as an assistant. I view her as a critical member who contributes to the mission of our organization.

I have been working with Shellie for over a year now. We have had some pretty big changes with our business over that time and Shellie has been our rock along the way.

She takes care of our “electronic presence”. Before Shellie, I had to do it myself or train staff to make sure our website was always up to date and fresh. This took away from our natural “flow” when we had to stop and make sure our website and other social media outlets were not stale or confusing.

Shellie is at the helm now. We have a weekly call each Monday for about 30 minutes to make sure she has from us what she needs to run that week.

Thanks to Shellie, I now get to stay in my “flow” and not worry about my electronic presence any more. Because I am not “pushing buttons”, she makes it all feel like MAGIC!

Thank you eaHELP for connecting Shellie with my business!

Hiring a VA was something we researched and spent a great deal of time considering before making the commitment. Being a non-profit, we were concerned about committing to the payments.

We finally made the decision to take the leap. Our VA started only a couple of months ago and we have had such a positive experience.

I have colleagues that can’t understand how the process works. I’m in one state, my VA is in another, yet it works. We have great communication and this relationship has helped me to be more purposeful in how I assign tasks and projects.

I can’t wait for the day I can bump up my hours and enjoy the expertise Kara gives even more! I am so happy that I found eaHelp and that their matching skills put me with Kara! She’s a keeper!

  3. I have been working with my VEA for one and a half years now and have to say it has been the BEST decision I have made in my years of ministry. Linda has transformed our team and how we get things done. Her capacity and ability to navigate a complex organization and keep our team focused on what we do best, engaging with students, is amazing. She has enabled our team to grow in numbers by taking on tasks and implementing processes that we haven’t had before. She is professional in her interactions with parents, donors, and organizational leaders. She has helped me be a better leader, manage my time better and support my family by being present with them when I am home. She is probably the best VEA EA help has (in my very humble opinion). I couldn’t be happier with hiring Linda through EA Help.

I have been working with Carrie for a little over a year. Very shortly after getting started (within 2-3 weeks) I realized this was something I should have done a long, long time ago. My personal productivity is so much higher after working with Carrie that there is no question whether the cost is justified. You truly get what you pay for and I could not be happier with the monthly investment I make to keep Carrie on board. Here are a few of the things that make her stand out.

We are hundreds of miles apart, but clients and colleagues are routinely under the impression that Carrie is a full time employee working in a local office where I must pay rent, hang a sign, setup computers and conference rooms, etc. There is a lot that goes into pulling something like that off while you aren’t even trying to give that impression. Carrie is a pro at technology and communication, including the good old fashion telephone. When people interact with her there is nothing to suggest that she is anything but the type of consummate professional to which they are accustomed. The fact that she is part of a new wave of virtualization never even occurs to them. She’s that good.

Carrie is also a master at making our business look supremely competent. Clients routinely get calls to remind them of things they have promised us or followup calls that they have asked for on a specific date. I have been hiring and managing employees on my own dime for over 10 years and no one is as good at followup and keeping things from falling through the cracks as Carrie. I cannot tell you how many times I am packing up at the close of a meeting, engaging in the usual small talk and niceties when someone says “and wow, Carrie is sharp. Let her know we really enjoy working with her.”

Carrie also knows how to strike the delicate balance between assertively taking things off my plate that she is better suited to handle and assuming more control than I am presently comfortable giving up. There is no question that I spend more time on high value tasks than I did before she joined the company. And given everything I have experienced I know that a year from now that percentage of time spent on things only I can do will be even higher.

I have had more than one person balk at finding their own Carrie through EaHelp because of the cost. But you cannot treat highly competent general VA’s like a commodity any more than you can compare a 4 bedroom house and an RV because they both have a sink to wash dishes. From the onboarding and match making process through to the frequent but unobtrusive checkins from my relationship manager EaHelp gets it right every single step of the way.

The pros don’t consider the up front cost of the tool. They think about the life they will get out of it and the increase in productivity over that time. You can go find a VA on the cheap and join the ranks of amateurs or you can make a proper investment and work with a VA that says to everyone “now here’s a professional.” Carrie does that for me on a daily basis and I couldn’t be happier or more grateful for the folks at EaHelp who put us together.

Brandi and I have been working together now for about a month. She came on board to help me manage my Social Media, edit and post blogs, do some basic market research, and help me solve general problems while I am traveling. Brandi has had a real can do attitude. If she doesn’t know something she says it up front and then will research a solution. One of the nice things about eaHelp is that they have established a network for the assistants including a Facebook page where they can ask each other questions and trouble shoot issues. I am for sure going to be able to take my business to an entirely new level of performance because Brandi is on my team.

I am back in the hunt for a new VA after letting go of mine with eaHelp. I was drawn to the reviews, the association with Michael Hyatt, and the people that they helped.

I did significant amount of research for several weeks and narrowed it down to two offshore companies and eahelp, which was 3 times more expensive. However the work I needed required strong English speaking skills (or so I thought) and being able to keep up with my high visibility tasks, so I didn’t want to take my chances.

I have a lot on my plate and knew that it could be difficult to help me manage my tasks. After several interviews with the different companies, I finally decided to go with eahelp.

One of the good things about them is that you get an implementation manager that spends significant time with you to get to know you and your work, personality, preferences, etc.

This was a good start and I felt confident that this was going to be worth it. I was introduced to my VA and got off to a decent start, but unfortunately it started to go downhill from there.

I had to continually remind my VA, tried multiple communication methods, redo tasks myself, and after talking to my Implementation Manager, she quickly setup a mtg for all of us to be on the same page. I wanted to be sure that it wasn’t me, that maybe I wasn’t communicating properly or giving unreasonable tasks. If it was, I wanted to do what I could to fix it. I was patient for the time being thinking it was.

The meeting helped a bit and I was under the impression that our expectations were set, and we had a clear path to move forward. Unfortunately it wasn’t to last and while I was gone three weeks overseas, the stress of having to follow-up and remind my VA on dropped tasks was more work than just doing it myself.

So I let the VA go. Then more problems came up. I gave a company email to my VA and it just happened that all her emails were deleted, including in my account which she had access to. I was told that it was the server and had nothing to do with the VA. But that is impossible given that emails don’t disappear unless they are deleted, especially since only those emails were gone, not others.

The VA was supposed to track my speaking engagements, and follow-ups with my travel, and of course since all of the emails were gone, I had no idea what happened, what was done, and what I needed to do.

I had angry people calling me saying they had sent emails or went back and forth with my VA but never got a final response. I had to ask them to forward me the conversation. Since all of the emails were gone, and I unfortunately my IT company couldn’t get them back, I couldn’t fix the situation immediately until the people she had talked to just came out and tell me what needed to be finished.

Thankfully I still had my finger on some things so was able to minimize the damage and just send out a massive email explaining the situation to my contact list, which was embarrassing somewhat. The implementation manager told me that this VA had problems with another client apparently and was let go from the organization. I guess I had to be one of the guinea pigs.

To the credit of the team, they tried to fix things as much as they could, and give a small discount if I found another VA with them. But by this time I had lost money, 3x more than the others, time, and was still having to work through the issues that I had no visibility on until after it was too late.

I don’t fault the organization necessarily since it is impossible to only get the best since some may get through any organization. They tried their best to fix it, and i think that is the most important thing.

It is good to see that others have had a much better experience than I. If I had to say anything, just make sure the fit is right and that you have a system to make sure things are done properly and that the VA truly understands what needs to be done. Looking back, there were some red flags from the get go, but I ignored them and the VA probably wanted the job so didn’t tell me honestly if she didn’t understand some things.

Assuming is bad, and I think both of us assumed too much. It was a good learning experience for me to on what I would do on the next go around.

I still believe in VAs and will continue to look for one, so please don’t let my experience sway anyone, but use it as a learning experience.

I’m incredibly happy with my EA Christina. After working together for 4 months, I can’t imagine managing my workload or running my business without her.

I’ve experienced other VA services, and Christina has raised the bar considerably about what to expect from a virtual executive assistant. She is smart, resourceful, a strong communicator, and highly responsive. She is patiently working with me to help me learn more and better ways to offload the responsibilities that she is more capable than I to handle, so that I can focus on running a business while building a second one simultaneously.

I can also trust Christina to communicate with my clients in a discrete and professional manner – also tremendously valuable in a professional service practice like my business.

Most importantly, Christina demonstrates caring about me and my business objectives. That team approach means a lot, and makes the premium investment in the eaHELP program worthwhile.

My EA, Jordan, is fantastic. She’s thoughtful, productive, insightful, and incredibly pleasant and nice. I feel more productive with her in my life. I have no complaints or concerns about EA Help or Jordan. EA Help’s price plan may scare off some, but you get what you pay for – which is great service and great EAs!

Today is Administrative Assistant’s Day and I woke up feeling immensely grateful for my eaHELP executive assistant, Debbie.

She got my attention in our first meeting when she said she would handle all the scheduling with my clients, across international time zones. In the second meeting, she offered to organize my (6!) inboxes into 2 and streamline my email. I was “all in” at that point!

Debbie has over-delivered in every area:
    * Serving my clients with professionalism and grace
    * Hearing my pain points and efficiently relieving them
    * Using tools to make my business run more smoothly
    * Teaching me how to delegate so I can let go of doing it all

She even set up an “ideal week” template for my calendar and plans my travel for work and pleasure. We collaborate to maximize my social media presence and I recently delegated the daily posting to her.

What a relief it has been to know Debbie is there supporting me so I can do what I love. I finally feel like the CEO of my business. This has been one of the best business decisions I ever made. My profits are up and I’m able to contribute in big, positive ways.

Thank you, eaHELP and Debbie, from the bottom of my heart.
You are truly a joy to work with and a beautiful blessing in my life as well as the lives of everyone you touch.

After working together for just 3 months, Jackie and I are a well-tuned machine. By taking tasks off my plate, she frees up my time. And by staying on top of my calendar and to-do list, she helps me stay one step ahead of the work that used to run me over.

What I love most about Jackie is the way she has my back. She isn’t just doing work that I give her, she’s taking initiative and showing me how to work more efficiently. Together, we have raised the game of my business and helped me take a long-term view at what I can accomplish.

Thank you, Jackie! And thank you to eaHELP for helping us find one another!

Next month marks 3 years that I have been working with my EA. During this time, I have worked full-time as a pastor while starting 3 different ministries/networks. To say it has been complicated and confusing at times is an understatement! But through all the developments, transitions, and turns, my EA has been up for the challenge with a willing spirit *every single day.*

I began working with my EA at a time when my work was not productive or helpful to forwarding the mission. Over time, I have been able to not only offload a significant amount of work with the same commitment to excellence and diligence, but I have found myself refocused and recommitted to doing the work that uniquely allows me to flourish in my role as a leader.

Through our time together, my EA has become more than an assistant but a team member who knows and understands my heart and passion for what I do, and it is evident that she is joining me not just to get the job done, but to do get it done with love and commitment to the cause. That intangible is a testimony to the kind of people EAHelp hires. I could not be more pleased with what we have accomplished together and how well we have come to work as a team.

Before becoming a client, I had researched eaHELP quite well. I expected a quality experience. However, I have been truly surprised by the match they were able to provide me. That is what I like best about Rachel. Yes, she is professional and produces quality work, and she is very efficient. But, the real trick is meshing with my personality, worldview and work style. She has led the transition, and it has been completely painless :) I am more productive because of her. Thanks Rachel, and thanks eaHELP!

I could not be more appreciative of my EA, Mary. I have said aloud several times in the past couple of months that were it not for Mary, my head would explode. Quite simply, I could not do what I do without her help. Mary exceeds my expectations in many ways – not the least of which is how she anticipate what I might need before I often realize it. And somehow, she has found a way to get me to change for the good (adopting new practices, etc.) even when I resist!

Thank you to EA Help for your incredibly, high-value-add service and to Mary for being way more than than executive assistant!

Christina is my right-hand woman – an indispensable go-to team member who’s universally valued at Wasabi Rabbit. Since her very first day working with me and the team, she’s been seamlessly integrated into our workflow, taking on increasingly more critical tasks with energy, quality and enthusiasm. Candidly, since moving away from the tactical distractions that used to interrupt my day (because she handles it all perfectly now), I can’t imagine how I’d function productively without her!

I have been working with my EA, Shari, through eaHELP for almost one month now. I could not be more pleased with Shari. Shari has become an asset to my team in a very short period of time. I can fully depend and rely upon Shari to have tasks completed to meet any deadline. She is up for any challenge that comes her way. The biggest compliment I am able to give is to say that Shari genuinely cares about the company and contributing to its overall success; which is a rarity to find. Shari has given me the greatest asset of time back. For that, I cannot say “thank you” enough.

I started with my first eaHelp assistant in July of 2014. She did a great job, but financial needs and greater professional opportunities led her to accept a full-time assistant opportunity elsewhere.

I met Kandis Sebastian in December, 2014 and we stared working together for 10 hours per week. She is a totally professional and proficient assistant. She handles so many details for me and makes me look good in all kinds of ways.

Thanks Kandis! You’re a Rock Star!

I just finished my first month with Lorna as my VEA. She’s been great and has integrated into the communication streams with our staff really well! She has been brilliant in helping me be responsive via the incoming messages I receive on a daily basis. My travel and research needs are taken care of, and my “last minute tasks” are not neglected. While I was aware of “virtual assistants” I never thought it would work for me. Was I wrong! I started with eaHelp a few months ago and could not be happier. Not only was the process to get started helpful, my eaHelp implantation manager was careful to to connect with me with the right EA for my personality and style! I could not have interviewed and hired a better person. Thankfully my EA has been working with me to get better organized and to rely them more. Could not be more satisfied.

Sarah has now become so much part of my working life, that I cannot imagine working without her help. eaHELP allowed me to bring the perfect addition to my team so that I could focus on doing the work that I needed to do, instead of getting bogged down on the things someone else could do better. Brittany has enabled me to get more organized, stop missing opportunities and work a lot smarter. She is truly an invaluable member of the VineSleuth/ Wine4.Me team.

Finding the right assistant is a tough challenge and I hold eaHELP in high regard for putting the work in to finding the right match.

In my case, initially I was paired up with another EA and it was the team at eaHELP that pointed out, within minutes after our first call, that perhaps the match was not right. “I don’t think she’s the right match for you. Allow us to find the right one,” Mandy said.

She was right. Just a few days later Brittany and I were introduced and together we made a great team right from the start.

I highly recommend eaHELP to anyone looking to grow their team and work more efficiently.

Everything on this website I found to be true, and the EA I was matched with, Beth, has done nothing but completely exceeded my expectations in every way. I can trust her with the most important tasks and know without a doubt that it will be completed in a timely, professional manner. I have the highest level of trust with her. And the Implementation Manager I have been paired with is fantastic in every way. Whew! Where do I start? As a one-woman entrepreneur, it’s really tough to keep it all together, and to do it well. I was absolutely drowning and about to crushed under the pressure of all I had to do-especially the day-to-day tasks. Kara-my assistant from EAHelp is a GODsend. You just can’t imagine what an asset she has been to my new business. Not only has she been able to help me get organized and more pro-active, but I feel like I’ve also gained a confidant and friend in the process. Sometimes I don’t even know what I want, and Kara is able to take the end result and goal, and just run with it, to make it happen. She’s been unbelievable.

As far as the EAHelp process, it couldn’t be any easier. Before EAHelp, the thought of hiring someone-having to research their background, figure out what I really want, and who would best meet my needs-overwhelmed me. EAHelp has the tools and the screening processes to make it so painless. I can’t speak for others, but my experience has been phenomenal. The process was relatively quick, didn’t take a whole lot of my time and energy, and resulted in a perfect match. Kara was so much more than I could have even hoped for. She has abilities, skills and a personality that fit perfectly with mine! If I ever need to hire again-I will most definitely go with EAHelp.

EAHelp was instrumental in helping to take the burden of figuring out what I needed, who I needed, and how to ask the right questions of a potential employee.

eaHELP has been incredible to work with. We started a new church about six months ago. One just assumes that you set up chairs, gather a crowd and hold services. About four months in, I was beginning to get overwhelmed with small details that were consuming my time. What were these quarterly forms that I have to file with the state? Why couldn’t I print my W-2 from last year through our online payroll system? How is this person’s birthday not on my calendar? I need to send flowers to this funeral. I have a mail merge that needs to be done. I need to run background checks on my ministry leaders. I need to setup dinner with a couple this week. I need to reschedule my son’s music practice. I need to schedule lunch with a pastor who is coming to town. I need to find a storage unit nearby. I need to see about group lessons for tennis for my son. I need to get a copy of a message that I heard preached last year at a church in Oklahoma. I need to schedule people for interviews for a video we are shooting for an upcoming service. I need to coordinate our community service project to paint a graffiti-covered building, but I don’t know who own the building or if they will let us do it, but I need someone to find out.

AND…. I still have to prepare three messages a week, visit first-time guests, counsel with families, get out into the community to invite people to our services, introduce myself to people in our community, prepare all music for upcoming services, plan church calendar events and foster a sense of community in our church. AND…I still have to be a husband to an amazing woman and a father who is building a legacy in his three children.

I had researched virtual assistants through freelancer sites, but I wasn’t looking to pay someone $5 to find me the cheapest flight from Honolulu to LA. I was looking for a professional relationship with someone who understood church culture and could learn how I work and meet the expectations of our unique situation.

Enter eaHELP. The relationship manager found me an amazing assistant who had experience working in a church and was a perfect match for us! Terah came along and made short work of the growing list of details that was weighing me down. During our first Skype meeting, I gave her a long list of the details that I was offloading to her. Over the next 24 hours, she began to cross these items off one-by-one. I can honestly say that I slept better, had lower stress levels and could focus for the first time in a long time on the things that really mattered.

Even when Terah was tasked with something neither of us understood, quarterly reporting for non-profits or payroll forms, for example, she researched, made phone calls and found the answers to complete the task at hand. It has changed the way that I work and the way that I get things done. All of the things listed above are just a snapshot of the tasks and projects that Terah has been able to accomplish for us. Terah has been a HUGE blessing to our church and our family.

EaHELP is THE way to go! I can’t imagine working without them!

We’ve worked with eaHELP for about a year. I personally hit a leadership and capacity lid with our growing organization and need help. Through an introduction from a friend, I got connected with eaHELP. I was matched based on personality & skill set mix and it’s been a night and day different. As a leader, I am more effective and responsive. Nicole has saved time and energy by handling many items that I was ineffective. Bryan and Kelli have provided content and direction in learning how to delegate better and that has greatly improved the EA relationship.

I love eaHELP and could not recommend them enough! Your leadership will never be the same!

We have worked with eaHELP for over 3 months and love our assistant, Lisa. She has made efficiencies in our processes to the point we recently increase her hours so she could have more positive impact on our business. The time she has saved allows us to focus on revenue generating projects. The administrative side of eaHELP makes the project easy and they did a great job matching an assistant to our needs. Highly recommend them!

I am so grateful for eaHELP and in particular for Katie, my virtual EA. I am launching a start up, which has been full of unexpected twists and turns. Katie has done a phenomenal job of jumping in and streamlining my work. She is willing and able to do all kinds of tasks and has the absolute best attitude all the time. In addition, our relationship manager Lori is thoughtful and proactive, always reaching out to see how she can be helpful.

I am a huge fan of eaHELP and am thankful I connected with them. Having a virtual EA is a lifesaver!

I have had an amazing experience with eaHelp in the last five months, and my business would never have successfully navigated our recent growth without my EA Robyn’s support. Robyn has been a fabulous addition to my team (I am the only other member). I have been able to count on Robyn to not only complete the assignments provided to her, but also to go above and beyond in terms of attention to detail. Her ability to constantly seek out “a better way” to track information has been a lifesaver.

When I began working with Robyn, I was incredibly overwhelmed with too many client management tasks to track. Robyn worked with me to learn my business, and how I interacted with clients, and together we developed a system that has been my lifesaver since the day it was created. A process I had quietly battled with for years because manageable within a week of working with Robyn.

I have loved so much about how eaHelp works, and I share this experience with other entrepreneurs whenever possible. I would suggest working with a virtual EA to anyone in need of regaining some control of both their business and their life!

I am beyond thrilled by my experience with eaHELP. Yes, my virtual assistant, Patty, is tremendous and making me more productive and my life easier. But it’s much more than that. The company gets it. My relationship manager is attentive and proactive. I get calls making sure that I am happy and asking how else they can SERVE me. eaHELP assistants share best practices with each other so Patty gets ideas of better ways to help me, new apps we should try, etc. Last month she introduced me to a new way to reserve a car service on the fly that has saved time, grief and money. Bottom line: I am getting more than I expected from this company and have become a raving fan and advocate of eaHELP.

I’ve only been working with a virtual assistant for a couple of months, but my experience so far has been outstanding! I’m grateful for the professional and personal assistance provided by EAHelp in the placement and orientation process. The concept of a relationship manager is a tremendous value add. More than anything, Patty (my VA) is a perfect fit in terms of both chemistry and competence. Even though we’re early in our working relationship, the tasks and projects she has assumed have not only given me back a lot of time, they have reduced my frustration with my scope of responsibility. Most of all, I’m getting back a lot of mental bandwidth to invest in other objectives. That’s a win for me and for my team! Thank you, EAHelp, for providing such an incredible resource to busy executives. And thank you, Patty, for coming along at just the right time.

I have been partnering with eaHELP since early July, and my experience has been exactly what I had hoped it would be. As the leader of a healthcare C-suite recruiting firm, I needed an EA who could help me in the day-to-day with such calendar manaagment, travel logistics and candidate follow up.
My EA has been terrific out of the gate. She provided me with time margin and I greatly value her professionalism and strong communication. She is a terrific representation of my firm and extension of our service. The partnership has allowed me to focus on the things only I can do. It did not take me long to increase her hours to utilize her in more areas.
eaHELP is a great partner who matched me with the right EA from the start and they have definitely proven that they are committed to their clients’ and EA’s success and satisfaction.

  25. Nick Loper says:

Over the past year or so through this site, I’ve had the chance to get to know Bryan Miles, the founder of eaHELP a little bit — and what you need to know is he’s really passionate about a couple things: serving others and keeping jobs in the US

Still, it took me surprise when he offered me a free trial of his VA service for 5 or 6 months. Um, what’s the catch? I wasn’t about to turn down that opportunity! Very grateful — thank you!

Now when you start out, most companies will ask you to provide a job description, but most will NOT ask you to provide a full-scale personality assessment, work-flow document to discover opportunities, and questionnaire on your expectations and communication style.

They definitely make an effort to match you up with an EA that will be a good fit, and I was matched up w/ Patty.

eaHELP also assigns a relationship manager who serves as a go-between for you and your EA if any problems come up. I didn’t have much interaction with her since everything was fine, but I can imagine that being potentially kind of awkward. Like if explained to my relationship manager, hey, I’m not thrilled with Patty’s performance, and then she turns around and relays that to Patty and it’s like, Ok… why didn’t he just tell me?

But other clients are using their relationship managers as kind of outsourcing consultants, seeking out best practices on how to best utilize their assistant. Clients are leveraging the experience of their relationship managers for benchmarking, coaching, and as trusted advisors throughout the engagement.

In terms of pricing, I think it’s a matter of framing — yes, eaHELP’s rates are on the high-end when compared with other VA companies — but they’re not framing against other VA companies. They’re comparing themselves to on-site EA’s, and against that alternative, they’re obviously quite affordable. When stacked up against the regulatory headaches, paperwork burden, payroll processing and other tangible (taxes) and intangible expenses of a traditional EA, eaHELP offers an attractive one-stop solution. Pretty savvy positioning if you ask me.

In terms of performance, there were some tasks that were REALLY well done. For example, I asked Patty to proofread a book I was working on, even though she had no “professional” editing experience. It was embarrassing how many typos and mistakes she found, that I’d missed and that another editor had missed. Really an awesome job and huge help.

Similar results on a couple other projects. One of my favorites was having her analyze common traits of delinquent loans on the peer-to-peer lending site Prosper.com. Since it was somewhat tedious work and required using my login information to a financial site, it was great to have someone trustworthy and local.

I feel like I could have done a better job in delegating and being better organized, and better utilizing Patty’s existing skill sets. For instance, she had a background in accounting management, but I never thought to have her work on any bookkeeping or tax stuff!

But like I said I wasn’t the best outsourcer in this case because I didn’t always have a clear list of tasks to be done. But in those times when there was a lull, I would have loved to see some more proactive suggestions that could have helped move the business forward. I think that would have been really valuable.

So was it worth it? The worth-it question is so subjective. A lot of the stuff we worked on didn’t have a measurable ROI — so strictly in terms of dollars, if I’d been paying for the service, no it wouldn’t have been worth it. But if I was paying, you can be sure I would have focused intensely on the high-value tasks that couldn’t as easily have been done by a lower priced VA.

And that’s the thing, the question of worth depends completely on how you envision using your EA. If you just need someone for data entry, basic research, and calendar bookings, eaHELP is probably not going to be the best bang for your buck. But if you’re looking for a trusted partner in business, a native English speaker, someone who can be in your email and social media accounts, someone who can represent you and your brand on a professional level, I think they’re definitely worth a look.

I’ve been working with an EA through eaHelp for almost a year now. Working for a non-profit, this is a brilliant solution to have a part-time professional EA on your team with the constraints of a low budget. What a pleasant experience – my EA is a great fit on the team, is sharp, competent, fast learner, solution oriented, takes initiative, etc. She has the capacity and social intelligence to interact with other people at any level. My eaHelp experience has completely met my expectations.

I couldn’t be happier with my relationship with eaHELP. My assistant, Caroline, has been an incredible addition to our team at Yellow Leaf Marketing. Recently I wrote a blog post about my experience with eaHELP – 3 Reasons Why I Love Being an eaHELP Client. Here are my three reasons… I hope they are helpful to anyone who is trying to make a decision on a virtual assistant hire.

    1. eaHELP operates with the leader’s success in mind

I went through an in-depth matching process to in order to be placed with just the right executive assistant. They didn’t just pull the next available person for the job. I filled out a series of documents that asked great questions. I came to find out that my assistant, Caroline, was asked to do the same thing. After my recorded phone conversation with the eaHELP team, they would gather and listen to the phone call again and start building out the criteria and profile of the “EA” that would fit me and my company the best. It’s refreshing to work with a “smart” company – not just a company who tries to get things done quickly, but one that takes time and puts a plan in place that will wow their clients.

    2. eaHELP hires very well

I wasn’t too sure what to expect when this all started, but I did have a good amount of confidence in “who” my EA would be after walking through this matching process. Bottom line: Caroline is really, really good at what she does. I’ve looked around at some reviews of eaHELP and other client testimonies and everyone is saying the same thing about their EA. Bryan and Shannon at eaHELP take their hiring process very seriously and make sure that they are hiring competent, quick-learning, others-centered, hard-working folks who love details and thrive on getting the job done the right way. This has been my experience in working with Caroline. It doesn’t matter that she is three states away. She gets the job done, serves our clients well and is a great reflection of the Yellow Leaf Marketing brand.

    3. eaHELP gets it. Period.

I’ve had the privilege of getting to know Bryan Miles, eaHELP’s CEO and Co-Founder, a little more since bringing Caroline on board and believe me when I tell you that he gets it. He understands that in order to grow, you must serve. In order to succeed, you must submit. In order to lead, you must follow. All of these traits are reflected in every person person I’ve had the opportunity to talk to from eaHELP. This is the type of like-minded company that I am proud to hitch my Yellow Leaf Marketing wagon to.

Professional, courteous, and dedicated to my satisfaction. After exploring less expensive, off-shore services & finding them less than satisfactory, I’m very happy with eaHELP.

    A few things to note:

If you’re getting a lot of value from your assistant, you’ll inevitably want them to have access to sensitive information or accounts. I feel 100x better doing this with an assistant in the US that is backed by a US firm – not to mention that comfort given by eaHELP’s sync process that also gives me my assistant’s personal information.

I also wanted an assistant that was very adept with online technologies and they delivered someone that exceeded my expectations.

Last, the cost can be a barrier to some people – but I encourage you to first decide if you really want an assistant or if you want someone to help with the occasional project. If the latter, I recommend you get a local college student as an intern and pay them $10/hr.

If you want an assistant, finding a PT assistant can be difficult and a FT professional assistant will run you $40-$50K. Depending on your approach to benefits and office space, that can push the cost up another 10% – meaning you’re paying at least $3500+/mo. Plus, a FT assistant can be hard to keep busy… often creating an atmosphere of resentment or pressure to give them ‘busy’ work.

Bottomline: eaHELP has found a nice sweet spot for those that do not require a FT assistant, but need something more than the occasional side project. My assistant coordinates with me daily & has a genuine interest in making my life easier… what more can you want?
